A trilogy about Western Europe starting with the death of King Edward VII in 1910.
Movie 1:
Use his funeral to show the interconnectedness of all of the European royal families.
Lead into the first month of WWI at Liege. The German perspective is shown by following a young Hitler from Austria to all of the battle he fought in, and show his deep seeded nationalism.
End with Hitler reading a newspaper headline about the Treaty of Versailles or however he found out about it surrounded by the victims of shell shock.
Movie 2:
Open with Hitler's failed putsch.
Then his court room speech's.
A brief time in jail writing Mein Kampf
He gets out, and have a montage of the rest of the 20s leading to his rise to power in 33.
Spend the middle of the movie showing the vast improvments to german life.
3rd act, hitler responds to native germans being fucked in the Danzig. He struggles with not wanting war and with wanting to protect his people.
He invades Poland, and finds France and Britain have declared war on him. He sues for peace, they refuse, he wonders as to why.
movie ends with a lead in into WWII and the audience sympathizing with Hitler
Movie 3:
WWII battle opening. Germans wrecking shit. Everyone knows this story. So focus on the parts they dont know, the typhus. Dresden. Russian's raping the women and killing the children.
End with an epilogue following Patton as he tries to be Governor General. The audience now sympathesizes with Germany, and now, bc of Patton, they hate the jews.
end with that quote from Churchill stating that the Allies fought the wrong enemy.
