The date night flash has over 300 frames and dozens of animations. Realistically, the art has to be stylized and simplified other wise animating it would be a full time job.
I am trying to improve though, it just takes lots and lots of practice. I mean look at the Shower comic, the art there is definitely better than the flash, that's cause it's only 6 frames.
