The ones who created the cultural, societal, and religious foundation of America. It's similar to how the Catholic Church worked back in the Old Country, but with more malignant results. A nation does not simply "grow up" and out of the culture it was born in. In all likelihood, it will never fully go away.

Sweden is an example of a nation that tries to force itself out its own culture, and look what's happened to it. The place has gone mad. All because they hate themselves over losing their once-great empire.

American comics have the most stupid means of censorship I've ever seen.
When Heavy Metal edited stuff like Druuna or Horacio Altuna's erotic comics, they introduced text balloons that weren't there in the originals, changing the original lettering and generally fucking everything up (no pun intended). What's the point of releasing erotic specials, marketed as adult only, and then fill them with censorship? What's fucking worse is that censorship in the different re editions of Druuna isn't even consistent. Entire pages got cut out because of sexual content. And no, americans, Europe has never had this level of stupid shit in their comics (I'm not european btw). Just look how they treated Manara in the US. The guy can show his work in Fine Art museums all around Europe but Americans get triggered by a simple drawing.

No, it's not about them being pc cucks. Most of the material published by Heavy Metal isn't even made by americans, actually. The TMNT guy said they had to censor stuff so editors would OK it, but then again he turned the magazine into a porn leaflet, and when he was with Julie Strain it was like "buy Julie Strain softcore movies… and uhhh… here's some comics!".

At the same time, Penthouse Comix mocked Canadian censors because they wouldn't accept a panel depicting rough anal because it was "violence against women" or something like that.

I do believe the puritanical aspect of America has something to do with it. Because it's probably the only country in the world where I've seen such bullshit.

No one denies America is puritan as fuck, but there's no denying that America actually doesn't censor as much as shit as the rest of the world does, especially in vidya and movies.

I'd agree with vidya in Germany, but aside from that nearly every single instance of censorship in games in europe comes from merely "porting" the american version there, still keeping america's work on the original intact and thus censored from the start; and regarding movies, you're honestly full of shit.
