Check out the last Plinkett Responds video. He says stuff along the lines of he "overhyped TFA" and that while it made his checklist it "still wasn't very good." The only thing AFAIK he's saying is better about TFA over Rogue One is that the characters at least feel like characters. Not good characters at all, but at least they're characters. This, compared to the emotionless, bland, and shitastic cardboard cutouts in Rogue One is the only thing he liked more about TFA, not to mention its less serious tone.

I remember watching the first three seasons of Half in the Bag and being throughly entertained. They did detailed analysis and ripped on 90% of the movies they watched, even the ones they like in the end. Then I noticed they toned down their assault about a year ago - the episodes no longer discussed anything about a filmmaker's perspective, they just talked about things that happened in the film and neglected to mention anything about cinematography, editing, sound design, etc. I became extremely bored and unentertained with all of the new offerings. Then they dropped the SWVII review which slobbered all over Jew Jew Abhram's cock for what was essentially a CGI-bloated retelling of Episode IV. I knew that Jew Jew had probably seen the Plinkett reviews of the prequels and taken note, since everything those movies did seemed to be a counter to the criticism those reviews levied. When did they sell out specifically? I miss when they used to take dumps on the hottest new thing, even if it wasn't popular in the mainstream; now it's just lukewarm positive reviews of the latest Hollywood trash. There is nothing funny or insightful in any of the last two seasons of HitB, I no longer eaglery wait for the new episodes since they are all such a boring chore to watch now.
