Conservatives are a completely different group of voters. While they mostly vote republican, they aren't ideologically republican, they're just no other choice.
Now there's a choice.
The thing that gets me is that the conservative ideology is not for free trade. It's for fair trade.
Which is excellent for the US as valuable resources are contained so abundantly in the US that it could become wholly and truly isolationist and not lose anything needed.

Bismarck was a brilliant statesmen, he was at foreign politics, he was brilliant (to a lesser extent, but still brilliant) at military tactics and what he didn't know, he knew to delegate to the brilliant Prussian generals of the time like Moltke the Elder.
The part about staatssozialismus is because Bismarck was one of the first politicians to implement state benefits and social safety nets. He did it not necessarily because he believe in it ideologically (he believed in nothing except the betterment of Prussia. Not even Germany, Prussia specifically), he did it because it would remove all power from socialists in Germany. By supporting the lower classes with better social support, social aid and working conditions, while balancing it with industrial growth, he thus played both the liberals (at the time Jacobins, free market cunts) and the socialists against each other and removed them from any power with the masses, allowing for the conservatives and the reactionaries to maintain a firm grip on internal Prussian and later German politics.
He's also the architect of the German unification, again not because he was a pan German nationalist, but because he knew it was inevitable and he rather it be done with Prussia in complete control. He completely politically isolated France and he predicted WWI down to when it would start, when it would end, and WHERE it would start.
tl;dr: Bismarck was the GOAT. Any politician after and honestly before him should be help up to comparison against him.
Hence, Trump is 5% a Bismarck.
