I always liked how this guy does backgrounds. He manages to have a lot of detail without making it look cluttered with a good sense of weight and scope to them.
A lot of the character designs remind me of Kill Six Billion Demons too.

Pure digital, however, is nearly always shit. Witch Doctor is the only good looking digitally drawn comic that I know of.
