In season 4, it's revealed that Blythe's mother had the ability to speak with animals, but aside from that it wasn't explained.

Biskits are total qts. I heard there will be a new LPS series, so I hope the Biskits are there too.

Hopefully, if they go for a new art style, they'll go with something with more proportional head to body size ratios. The whole "big head" artstyle turned off a lot of people to this show from the get go, I think.

The flash designs were very cringeworthy to look at. Giant heads on tiny noodle bodies, even worse than Johnny Test.
The voice were garbage and they didn't have to be, they instead made them sound like shit on purpose.
The backgrounds were boring as hell and the designs and animation… crappy Canada Vancouver animation. Definitely not like Disney's cartoon shows made in ToonBoom which featured: good detailed backgrounds, great smooth animation, tons of action, textures and different costume changes for every character per episode.

The format for 20 minutes didn't make any sense when the show's genre is a slice of life separated into two plots: A and B(respectively Blythe and the pets on their own), each taking 10 minutes each and trying to fix the series' pacing by switching back and forth to each other.

The dream sequences were getting very teasing. I could feel the animators actively begging for an adventure show.
I think LPS would have been much better if it focused on just 5 pets and without the self-insert kid character Blythe(like most 80s toy commercials, there's always a self insert).
The dog's voice was the only good part of the teaser song when we first heard about it on Holla Forums. We only kept making threads because of the dog's charming singing voice. Most of us actively commited seppuku when we heard the news that the dog's singing voice won't be her voice by default, plus her original singing voice left after season 1.

I originally thought that Mrs. Twombly's doorknob hobyy was going to play a better and more important role. I imagined her collection of doorknobs opening portals to new dimensions which will let the pets transform and have adventures in these new worlds as; dinosaurs, doctors, cavemen, horror, singers, etc. etc. Just like Penn Zero Part-Time Hero.
I guess I should only expect genuinely entertaining storytelling out of Disney.

The premise is also kinda weird, but ironically to be expected out of Vancouver.
Most of the characters appear as hobbysits, amateurs, talentless hacks. They never come off as talented(except for Zoe's singing) and they constantly get insecure when faced with their competition or idol. Even Zoe Trent's fashion modelling is put into question as not good enough. Same for Blythe's fashion design clothes. Same for a lot of things.

The majority of the episodes will be about putting into question what the characters are good at or how can they evolve from 1D to 3D(like the orange hedgehog which stopped being the smartass one and started being the fun comedy-relief character.

In fact the purple panda eems to be the only character who's hobby was never put to the test(her ribbon dancing). Same for Minka's abstract painting.
Vinny Terrio(the green lizard) instead got a bunch of episodes featuring new secondary characters which helped him git gud at dancing.

Unfortunately most of them never really get good at a professional level, most of them still retain their amateur level and stay as talentless hacks.

As for the morals. I liked the morals in season 1's final episode where the characters are sad to see Blythe go, but she actually goes through it and leaves to an university instead of getting cold feet and staying home.

The plot ideas, some of the storytelling(meh) and the morals were better than MLP's executive mandates from seasons 2+
Still the directing, designs and the voices are trash and feel like they did it on purpose. Especially with the Biskit twins.

Most of the songs reminded me of Phineas and Ferb, but I liked some of them. Though, I only wished they hired more talent like Kylee Epp(voice singer for the purple dog in season 1).

Hopefully the new show I'm hearing about will be much fucking better. Provided they focus on the pets and actually do 7 to 11 minute stuff, instead, if I an make suggestions.

For me, it wasn't bad - but not truly anything spectacular, sadly. That's the worst thing one could say about it while not hating on it like Ponyfags clearly do on a regular basis (when they're not ignoring its existence.).

Last episode(s; two-parter) just aired. I liked it. Roger continued to prove he's the best character on the show from the beginning of the series to the end.
