I've been working on the idea of a more durable, shill-resistant imageboard for a while now. The best idea I've come up with so far is a local proxy (open-source, cross-platform) for NNTPChan nodes that'd provide added functionality (like userscripts do for other sites). The crucial part would be expanding the use of /ctl/ by letting end-users trust specific tripcodes the same way that node owners can (hiding the reported posts locally), adding links to let the user easily see who reported a specific post or which posts were reported by a specific tripcode, and adding a report button to posts to make submitting reports to /ctl/ easier.
