Its good dude ill try to keep the thread alive with what I have

Really a fucking awesome thread.
I thought you guys hated all of this.

Chichimeca(Spanish [tʃitʃiˈmeka] ) was the name that the Nahua peoples of Mexico generically applied to many bands and tribes of nomadic and semi-nomadic peoples who inhabited northern modern-day Mexico. Chichimeca carried the same sense as the Roman term "barbarian" to describe people living outside settled, agricultural areas. The name and its pejorative sense was adopted by the Spanish. For the Spanish, in the words of scholar Charlotte M. Gradie, "the Chichimecas were a wild, nomadic people who lived north of the Valley of Mexico. They had no fixed dwelling places, lived by hunting, wore no clothes and fiercely resisted foreign intrusion into their territory, which happened to contain silver mines the Spanish wished to exploit."

Nah dude it's Holla Forums and wannabe neo's on 4chan that hate every non-white culture, I thought most people hated this kinda stuff too but eh the more you know

...

Did the mexicas and the chichimeca's wage war like the romans and barbarians did or were they only revered by the conquistadores?

I really want to visit the ruins of tenochtitlan one day but im pretty sure most of the interesting stuff was plowed down and built over by the spanish after the fall

...

Oh Ok!

Enjoy a blue skull with a sweatband. Quite amazing to see how well preserved a bunch of stone on a skull can be

Ah man that sucks, the most interesting cultures always have the least left behind.
Quite sad to see how everything really darkened after the paint (?) weathered off after centuries of being in ruins

Hey I learned about pic 2 like a month ago. It's actually fairly modern / recent thing I believe. IIRC some white scientists travelled up north to one of those Canadian territories, to establish some research station or something, and kind of decided they could give the locals some tools and see what they come up with… so they made art and it actually became quite popular up in Canada.

Reminder that there was never any native American genocide and white guilt is a mental illness, and uppity reservationists or special snowflake "I identify as native when I'm 1/64th" who hate the white man need fucking schooling on how they were civilised and unified like never before by the white man.

No white guilt here m8
But if you think Am Indians weren't killed you
may have some nigger genes that account for your stupidity

Sorry for posting it then, I just saw it under a bunch of other pictures and thought it looked pretty neat so assumed it was an actual inuit painting

...

No no, it is an Inuit painting, just a relatively recent one. I guess it might not have a long tradition as a whole, but it is probably based on some traditional technique, or at least contains common motives.

...

what's the staff/sceptre in pic 3?
that's not native work. i'd be interested in the library ref, op.

My heritage is a direct bloodline from El Salvador. Mom came from El Salvador at 15. Then got with a married man and had me in Texas. So I guess I'm an Aztec.

Ah I see, I thought with the locals you meant Canadian housewifes and their children
Could you however please elaborate on the giving them tools part? It seems like the inuit could already make art and such or do they mean modern art equipment?

staff looks British, maybe a crown on top.

Set came from the Library of Congress (U.S.)

...

My initial thought was britain aswell but I'm going with french since the french saw the natives as friends and peers and thus often made peace and traded fairly instead of forcing them into labour otherwise their entire tribe will get executed :^)

thx
collection?

I can get the link
do you have a ripper tool?

Yeah, I think our lecturer said/meant tools and materials, presumably modern ones.
Oh, this seems related
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Archibald_Houston
this guy apaprently introduced some modern techniques or tools to Inuits and was a promoter of Inuit art, and then this woman
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenojuak_Ashevak
painted the picture you posted (The Enchanted Owl).
I do not quite have time to read it so you'll have to sift through it yourself for details.

Pretty neat to see how nice the inuit were if they even traded drawings with eachother. Makes me feel fuzzy inside knowing that somewhere in the arctic circle natives are still drawing fishies and trading them for drawings of other animals
My native american folder is emptied out btw so if anyone else wants to dump that'd be appreciated since I need to get going

dont know what that is
my tool rips pussy pretty good, tho'.
nvm user, i'll do the research. enjoyed ur thread.

Found some Peruvian Native qts… Good thing im Mexican, because I Can Have as much Native Gurls as I Want, since we're Both Genetically & Ethnically Related… For a White Person doing this, it would be Miscegenation… But to Us, it would be Inter Breeding…
