but I got to see it a day early because my theater was playing it for some reason.
Holla Forumsitics aside, it was actually really fun. Characters like Red, Chuck, and pic related were great, and even characters that seemed one-note took me by surprise. It was very fast-paced and threw joke after joke sometimes, but jokes were more hit than miss.
However, it felt like a Dreamworks movie. The camera was in characters' faces alot, so much that they take up 60-70% of the screen. There were also a shitload of pop music and pop culture references, constant one-liners, and this song and dance number at the end.
TL;DR Rovio really wants to be Dreamworks, watch at your own risk.
someone's going to post this eventually, so it might as well be me
Brody Bailey
That's part of the reason I went to see it instead of pirating.
I'm surprised ((they)) even let this movie slide, let alone get released in theaters early.
Ryder Foster
The movie was made before the muslim crap so this is all coincidence, but I find it hilarious the shitlibs totally agree with Holla Forums about the message of the movie, and hate it for that reason. Does anyone have the link to the review where it complains about the movie having the allegories stated in this Holla Forums meme?
Kayden Jones
Peter Dinklage in a role clearly not written with a short actor in mind will never get old

"The Mulsim crap" didn't start last year, you moron. The move is allegory about it, no way around it. It was made by Europeans, not liberal Hollyweird.
Carson Gutierrez
Holla Forums was talking about how the movie was about the recent influx of refugees caused by Angela Merkel and the Paris terror attacks. This movie began production in 2014, and the producer is a jew, so I don't think any of these similarities are on purpose.
Levi Myers
Again, Muslims have been immigrating into Europe for a long longer than that. If you can't see the allegory, you are retarded and have no critical thinking skills. It's not even subtle in the movie. King Mudbeard, a bald eagle character and "we don't need your opinion" is not subtle at all. I know Holla Forums is another arm of Tumblr, but please quell your inner butt hurt libtard please.
Jose Green
I'm okay with this. That means there's a marginally larger chance of good animated movies happening sometimes. I hope this gave them enough normalfag coins that they'll keep making movies.

I'm not sure which end of the horseshoe you're on, but care to elaborate why "a jew" wouldn't do this? Some Islamic cultures have a big fucking issue with antisemitism, so to me it seems perfectly reasonable that a European Jew would not be very happy about Muslim immigrants.

This film is being written and produced by Americans. Europeans have some supervisor roles because the game developers are finnish but that's it. I don't know why, but it muslim anti-Semetism doesn't seem to be a problem for a lot of Jews, especially those in executive positions. They even welcomed London's new Muslim mayor.
Nathaniel Jenkins
It's because being open to more cultures = more audiences. They don't care about the bad aspects of a culture as long as they are willing to pay money. Just got to keep quiet about what nationality you're part of.
That being said, I'm sure some subtext got past the executives or were dismissed as harmless jokes.

Actually Angry Birds is a movie about how American Imperialism is killing Europe.

Not a fan of the Madagascar-esque "silly animals talk a lot in front of the screen"- 3d movies that get spat out these days. IMO Angry Birds wouldve been done better as a traditional animation with no dialogue whatsoever, relying on slapstick gags more than references to modern pop culture. But I guess if it was done by a french style of animation, it wouldve been too risky for Hollywood, even if the style wouldve hit the Angry Birds-theme perfectly.
Lucas Walker
Look, goy, this is just another coincidence. It's just a pun, there couldn't possibly be any political subtext here or anything. I'm ready for Shillary!
Ryan Baker
Porn when?
Ethan Hughes
I think the creators wanted to do something different for the movie. They went that route for shorts like this, and did dialogue for the comics.
Granted, something like Looney Tunes or even Viva Pinata would've been a better fit.
Zachary Campbell
This can't be. No jew in Hollywood other than Michael Bay would have the guts to do this.
Samuel Price
i need to see this movie.

Oh, how this thread has fallen.

Pol only mentioned the Paris attacks in reference to a Frenchman who only had minor comedy scenes in the trailer. I've compared this to the older trailers, and he's not in them. This character may very well be a small revision made after the paris attacks.
Germany, as well as the rest of Europe, has had problems with muslims long before 2014. Merkel has been seen as culpable for years.
I saw a Holla Forums thread someone here linked from 4chan that had them saying red was a sexually repressed virgin and the story was about him learning to accept how to act "normal" and "fall in line"
Was kinda scary how some people think.
Daniel Kelly
Eh, what?
Where did that come from?
Did they pay more attention to the shit with the flirting women and the eggs than anything else? Because (to me at least), it was more about Red wanting to belong in general. Everyone else was marrying and having children. There was a quick scene where he put a small replica of his house against the others in his line of sight, and when he first tried to out the pigs he was almost like "praise me."
But at the end, while the statue was of Mighty Eagle, the birds built his new house in the middle of town, and even taught the hatchlings a song about how he was the hero and how he represents the virtue of "angery."
So glad I left that place.
James Walker
Honestly, critiques like that reflect much more on the speaker than the thing they are examining.
Grayson Thompson
Heh.

I love the part with Goebbels
Is it weird that I've been on Holla Forums so much that he is talking about how they won't put up with the lugenpress forever?
Adrian Miller
HOLY SHIT!
Tyler Ortiz
You have GOT to be shitting me! How did they get away with this?!
