2014 strikes back
Could you all please add some info and not just blatantly just post a video? Tnx
Found this song while browsing SXSW festival videos, like I do every year. South american band, Brazil I believe. Just liked the sound I guess
I'm curious, is it just laziness? Or nihilism? I mean this is an user board, why not post a little more info?
Maybe I'm just getting old..
this is an user board
you said it yourself
Point taken, but still. You don't share personal info just by sharing how you know certain music.
I certainly hope I'm not wrong in stating this. I value privacy more than most.
What music is it?
Corridors of Darkholme
original version is Corridors of Time from the game Chrono Trigger
another video from sxsw, 2 years ago
Tell me you don't like it
I guess most here just expects, noone gives a shit about "how you know certain music"
In other cases, it's maybe because it's hard to say anything.
I don't much about this track except I got into Blank Banshee in fall last year,
and that I remember it as a good time.
It's alright, music is an experience, like eating good food. Sometimes it's haute quisine, sometimes it's just street food.
As long as it fills your needs, who am I to question?
Hella nice comparison.
I know I feel about music like food.
If I don't get any, I die
I come here to find things that are valuable which I can't find anywhere else. It can be nature, architecture, music, whatever threads.
It's the whatever that makes this place so appealing to me, especially the music threads, because that's what I do professionally. I provide therapy for Afghanistan/Iraq veterans, and music plays a big part in that.
Every time there's a music thread I take my time to listen to all the songs, start to finish, regardless of genre or quality, because there's always something to be found that can (and does) help someone. I thought the cover of Maroon5's Maps was particularly good itt, and I didn't know it yet. I loathe Maroon5 so I never look into their crap.
Embed related is another example of a band I learned to like through the chans, I simply can't stand Anthony Kiedis' voice. I saw them live at a festival and thought they were tame. But I was wrong. Skip to 5:03 or so.
I always post a few songs too, usually stuff that's out of fashion. A good classical composer that doesn't have a big name, Armenian (or whatever stupid place I can come up with) folk, something acoustic blues, wartime jazz, early new wave, whatever comes to mind. Not because I expect you to like it, or to be hipster and neat, but because there's always someone who likes it, who would've skipped the song if I mentioned it was Greek, British, Argentinian, this or that style.
It's either hit or miss in this completely random thread. Maybe you'll find something you like, maybe you don't. Share your experiences if you want I wont judge.
Clams Casino makes the most moving songs possible, especially since it makes me think of the greentext last year.
Here's another artist whom I never liked - John Lee Hooker. I like blues - a little bit. Enough to know (and like) Muddy Waters' plantation records, Blind Willie McTell, Sonny Boy, Son House, Blind Lemon, Little Walter, Mississippi Fred, Koko Taylor, SRV, Lead Belly, Lonnie Johnson.
I just never liked John Lee Hooker. Until someone posted this album, and suddenly it all became clear. You ought to listen to the entire record and allow the man to speak, but skip to 19:30 for a highlight.
greentext last year
if there's a nice story to go with this song I'd like to read it

Nice meme my friend
glad you guys get it.

Ive been playing Asphalt 8 and i cant get this song out of my head
Yeah it's thrash. Slayer is similar style but I'm not really into them. I can't name a lot of good thrash other than the lighter stuff like Megadeth, Watchtower, S.A. Slayer (not Slayer), Toxik.
Good taste my man. I got placed by Post Modern Jukebox by some other person I know. Got most on their albums just waiting for more releases.
Final bump before I let you rest in peace my child
Wish I had music to feed you but i'm all out
Fuck vevo and fuck youtube
