art which prides itself on technical ability over emotional impact is only art in the same way that crysis 3 is considered one of the greatest games of all time because it had the best graphics, as opposed to games like phoenix wright which has the most emotional impact.
art is not about effort - it is about the end result of how the user feels. if you create an art piece in ten minutes that makes a user feel more emotion than one who spends three months on a painting and ends up causing the user to feel nothing, then you have wasted three months of your life.
