A great thing about democracy is that it's extremely reactionary. As people become content, degeneracy creeps in. But then as degenerate and destructive ideologies become prominent, people will experience the repercussions. They will vote in favor of something better.

Any form of government can be controlled by outside forces, but only democracy allows the people to change it without violence. Fascism is fine when the country is in need of reform, but people will eventually become content and degeneracy will just creep back in.

America has always been a Constitutional Republic.

Times of dictatorship or fascism is needed occasionally to balance out the slow failure of democracy over time.

After many decades of this process, the democracy has degenerated to such a state that only a massive cleaning out of society can return it to it's former glory, thus the dictator comes to power.
