I created some User JS to auto-archive links so you don't give (((Content Creators))) ad shekels for their click bait articles. It supports (and includes a) domain and file extension whitelist. And adds a [Original Link] after the archived link in case the site you're trying to view isn't supported by archive.is. Pic related.
And periodically check the page for updates to the whitelist and functionality improvements.

vols please sticky, this is helpful

I have NoScript installed, but I also allow JS on Holla Forums.

Is there a need to archive everything? I mean, I can understand archiving clickbait rags but why archiving poll sites and porn sites (which don't work anyway after archived)?. Isn't this going to add an even greater strain to archive.is? They don't have the same structure as archive.org to save every kind of crap
Gabriel Carter
The poll and porn sites are on the whitelist and won't be archived.
technically yes, but Holla Forums does it a lot anyways. also Holla Forums's couple thousand users I doubt are going to bring down archive.is. I did add exclusions for things like just image links for a reason, even though archive.is supports archiving them.
Dominic Myers
Archive links are used in OPs because most people don't have a decked out uMatrix setup, and you don't want the linked site to make money. They also help in not giving backlinks to a site.
Client-side, this doesn't make sense. You can just block all of their shit right away. Archives are meant to be an eternal record of a websites state, not a SaaS adblocker.
Matthew Jones
They still get hits which can be data mined from the servers log files to tell advertisers (or editors) how popular a site or page is.
Wyatt Carter
just use adblockers.
if that's the extent of what advertisers measure then they can just hire a botnet.

Whats wrong with it? Or are you going to say botnetscript is better?
Carter Peterson
Seconded.

stay pleb
Isaiah Torres
unfortunately sites like pornhub aren't supported by archive.is
Grayson Bell
So? People need to be able to click that shit safely.
Brandon Ortiz
Well you can delete it from the whitelist then.
Wyatt Watson
oh not the scary programming language is going to botnet my meme distro
Ryder Foster
Degenerate.

I went through most of the index pages of the top boards here and collected links. They were amongst them, on porn/pedo boards like /hebe/, /cuteboys/, /cutegirls/.

umatrix is bloat and does not even work right. Just Noscript and uBlock and stop being autistic.
Daniel Barnes
Nah m8 works fine for me.
Dylan Wright
is there a user JS to filter (((Massive Faggots))) that think they're clever using {{{Stupid[[[Parentheses}}}]]]?
Xavier Price
anecdotal evidence does not count
Noah Sanders
Considering it started off with an anecdotal claim, there's nothing to disprove with actual evidence. You can fuck off now, maybe go make another browser thread or something.
Oliver Brooks
When did tumblr create this shitty meme of replacing scare quotes with lisp syntax?
Brandon Lewis
Fuck you, I like having a way to type in (((Jewish tense)))
Adrian White
this doesn't work in the catalog.
Brandon Lopez
Gnew.

You could just tell people to use adblock.
Evan Morris
That doesn't help when content has been changed or removed, does it.
