How far has sintering come in the past 10 years? It was starting to see widespread use about a decade ago in firearms and there were very mixed results. This was from high profile companies with expensive firearms ie Kimber and the sintered parts were not high stress. Small parts like safeties etc.

Plastic guns last less than a 10 shots on average, and printed plastic guns last just a few shots.
This is true for printed barrels and chambers. If you aren't using plastic for the barrel, chamber, and bolt(if it requires one) then your gun will last a lot longer. The real question about drop in sears is how much pressure they are under. I don't know exactly how they function, but considering that they are probably part of the FCG they shouldn't be taking any considerable pressure.
