If it wasn't so commercial then the show could have been pretty good with some change of pitch bibles and concepts.

The story would focus on the group of 5 friends finding the powers and going around having adventures through an enchanted magical world.
Witch would focus on the girls gaining insect faerie powers and brewing potions, casting hexes, enchants, charms.

Then as one of the story arcs they'd free the townspeople of the evil elf Phobos by silently assassinating him and making his whole army get eaten by a druid. Then move on to the next problem, no need to waste 26 episodes about defeating 1 evil dictator when you could defeat 9 evil dictators, solve 9 environmental problems and 8 episodes about some fun slice of life.

I'm just saying, this could have been a perfectly artistic, charming, dark adventure action show about fairies, and not the girly pixie ones, the actual blood-sucking evil Faerie inspired from insects and shadow people.

I always remembered missing the very last episode of season 2 every time it aired. i'd watch every other episode but that one and i'd be frustrated id have to wait until the show aired all the other episodes before i could see the last one. i never got to see it during the original run watching it years later i realized it was for the best.

I read the comics pretty regularly they weren't bad but you could tell exactly when the people who knew what they were doing left. its a shame i actually liked some of the later issues.

The answer is actually B. a major difference between the show and the comic is how it treats Altermeres. i have know idea if i spelled that right. An Altermere in the comic is a being of almost pure magic created when some cat faced bitch tampers with the girls power. it only desires to gain the powers it has yet to absorb which is earth.

Consequently this is exactly what needs to happen for Narrisa to be freed from her imprisonment in the comics. so really its a case of furries ruining things for regular folks.

anyway in the show Altermeres are enhanced Astral Drops. almost real they are thinking feeling beings and focus on surviving even if it means taking the ax to the original though only if convinced the original was out to get them.

the comics covered this at a point as well with the astral drops going rouge after gaining sentience but with one key difference. the Altermeres from the show gained access to the magic of the heart of kandrikar.
