Are there any guarantees that any of these alternatives have a competent tech team and won't start falling apart once it starts growing? It's like looking at sjws ruin the west.

The volunteers/administrators/whatever they are were IRC circlejerkers who didn't do anything in the first place. We've effectively lost nothing by them demanding an exodus on Holla Forums and claiming to leave.

Jim's an idiot and fucked up massively but I don't think irreparably, and all I've seen in the way of Jim himself flat-out selling IPs is rumor-mongering from people who demand exoduses to alternative chans (typically 8ch.pl) in the same breath.

Stay put, read up on it, keep aware. Dick around on Holla Forums and Holla Forums if you need further input to make your own decision because Jim's answered questions and (very mildly, to embellish his input) helped with the website's functionality in Holla Forums threads for weeks, and it's because of him assuming ownership of the place that this website's even still up and running to even a shitty degree due to his putting Codemonkey on the site, both as a tech-monkey and in a bit here as our new admin. (Hotwheels has been MIA for a very long time now and seems to have lost interest in the site in general, either due to genuine disinterest or because of internal injuries; I remember hearing he's been hospitalized for a collapsing spine.)

For the love of all that's fucking holy, don't trust infographics, either. The picture shown as the OP of is rumor-mongering at its apex and explains absolutely nothing in precise, provable terms while demonstrating a third-grader's understanding of a newspaper front page.

Seriously, stay calm and don't panic. Scrabbling to migrate because something may have happened somewhere equals a fragmented userbase spread across four or five chans.

We can't have any kind of community user, they won't let us. This kind of talk was around the last time a major shakeup occurred, but a total migration could only end in failure. We're all going to have to go to our own non-honeypot communites, some boards will be lost in the process.

Hotwheels' spine kinda folding in on itself is why he grew distant, along with getting weary of the site in general. He doesn't actively hate us as far as I know (why would he given this site is basically his legacy and he's not gonna live terribly much longer), while Moot actively resented 4chan to the point of trying to replace it with that one group-draw or sticker website or whatever it was that went belly up.

He's only going rulecuck as far as getting totally rid of CP, as far as I'm aware. As in 3D CP, loli/shota/etc art and related materials are still allowed.
