At its heart Archie was always about a guy with two girls desperate to fuck him. Reggie the hater/antagonist and jughead the comic relief were just window dressing for what was essentially a universal male fantasy. That show looks like pure shit and I bet doesn't last a full season.

I don't know how these comics worked, but they look like Parodies. These works happen because someone thinks "Hey, Archie is usually happy, cozy comic, So lets subvert that for the sake of comedic parody."
