Rogue one hate?

honestly trying to figure out why people hate this movie so much, so far only reasons i have seen are:
1. women in lead role
2. their are minority's in it
….. now the film isn't perfect by any means (some of that dialogue was complete ass even for star wars) but other then that i don't really see what their is to hate about it.

Thanks, OP. I'd love to have the same discussion for the upteenth time. Can't wait for the next thread.

just fuck my board up fam

...

from what i've seen, it isn't the film itself, rather the bullshit going on around the film.

by this, i mean jew jew's "whitest fucking room" bit, cuckquean kennedy preaching that she doesn't need to pander to the sw fanbase, and this general notion that star wars was just for white people, because the youth are so inherently retarded that they let everyone on a screen form their opinions for them.

yeah, the film has some problems for sure (the minority casting isn't it except for jones, she's the worst tbh), but overall it's far better than the fart awakens.

...

I don't hate it and it's certainly better than TFA but i agree with most critics that it's just so goddamn predictable and by the numbers.

I'd say most of the hate is preemptive fatigue over the yearly onslaught Disney has already promised and half is just Holla Forums being angry every time a women is cast in a role that isn't a housewive or cumbucket.

I'm not Holla Forums in any way, but I do prefer when women are casts as housewives or cumbuckets, or housewives who are happy to be their husband's cumbucket. I find the "rebel chick" role to be annoying and inmature tbh. A nerd's fantasy.

SOON

The movie just felt so short. And i don't mean that in a good way. Somewhere around the 1 hours 30 mark they suddenly all start being best buddies and i was like "wait, did i miss the bonding scene where they start warming up to each other?" and then around two hours everyone starts dying and i'm apparently supposed to care about characters who had no arc and barely any personality.

Looking back i couldn't describe what actually happened that took two hours and still the important parts in a movie like this are missing.
I guess the spacebattle was pretty though.

I just like my women to not delude themselves into stupid shit forced by dykes and nerds that never scored.

no thanks I don't watch cuckold porn

Not sure if redditor or goon.

The fact that it's relying on nostalgia and fanservice even more than TFA was. Not only is it focusing on a deathstar yet again, now it's literally the original deathstar. And the original Stormtroopers, and Darth Vader, and Peter Cushing, and all of the ships and vehicles, looking exactly as they did. It's lazy, and it's boring.

Okay, but SOON

shitskin detected

HOW THE FUCK IS THERE STILL NO WEBM OF VADER'S SCENES?

People keep uploading that shit to good goy sites like youtube, vimeo etc. where it is then removed for copyright infringement ten seconds later. Just fucking webm that shit and post it here already. What is the hold up? We had Kylo killing Han a day after the film came out. Wtf is taking so long this time?

There was one in another thread but not going to look for it.

Did the thread die already?

It's in the other threads and tbh it's not a very good scene
It's just that every other scene is so shitty that it looks good by comparison

Nvm, found it :)

...

Okay, time to learn how to link to another thread, after ten years of browsing chans.

People probably hate the virtue signalling of the creators more than the movie. Personally, I'm not going to give my money to some cunt who treats me like dirt because of some shit I didn't do.

I haven't seen it, and I don't plan seeing it anytime soon. Frankly, I am tired of this endless rebels vs empire plot that Disney is pushing with TFA, and now this. That story concluded 30 years ago with ROTJ, and anything beyond is just a fan fiction.

I hope you like this line guys, you're gonna be hearing it a lot for the next 20+ years…

You don't know anything about Holla Forums.

It'll replace "It's better than the prequel movies."

Personally, as much as the last act is good, you have to judge the movie as a whole and not just the parts it makes up. It has less memorable characters than The Force Awakens which is just shocking at how they could do that. It was pretty boring for about 2/3rds of the movie. Would you really see this as a Star Wars movie if you removed some of the key elements from it? It could be just about any space war movie if it didn't have the name attached to it.

If they made it a short that had the last act and all the good parts of the film condensed into it, it could actually be the best new star wars film in a while. As a whole, it lacks it being a must see in theaters. A rental maybe, but nothing you'd want to go to theaters for unless you're just one of those hardcore Star Wars fans than must see and get everything related to Star Wars.
