Imagine the audience reaction if the villain prepares a "world-ending attack" and upon it's execution the film just flat out stops, absolutely nothing on the screen, no sound whatsover. And it's left like that just long enough to get the audience members to start talking to each other, asking what's going on. Suddenly the voice of the protagonist is heard and it's revealed that they were able to survive the obliteration thanks to some foreshadowed plot element.

See this is where the movie could've solved this. Instead of a sociopath, Hans was a Knight Templar. Like he really loves Anna, but firmly believes that Elsa is the bad guy. Or maybe the excuse of his family issues could've played into his obsession of being the hero and ignore looking at Elsa in another point of view.

I still think the climax should've been something like Akira where instead of crying, Elsa becomes pissed as hell and goes to a pure kill em all mode due to despair and pure "fuck it, they want my ice powers to be the bad guys, then i'll play bad guy" mode. And no not evil like concept Elsa, though it would've been nice if she gained the personality of concept Elsa after Let It Go but still remained neutral.
