I WANT FUCKING CIVIL WAR
I WANT TO GO IN THE STREETS AND KILL THEM
After being caged for years, locked away in the social subconscious, the lion of the West becomes erratic, abused for all the qualities he once held up as noble for his pride. The lion’s male glory is now misogynist. His natural domination of his habitat supremacy. His grooming and intellect privilege. His wild genius inequity. And from his cage he can evoke little from his soul, which dreams of the mountaintops he once ruled.
When the lion is released, he is an exile returning home. But he has been warped in the cage, rattled by his abusers. He reenters his lost realm disheveled. It’s more difficult for him to pick the parasites from his back. He loses himself on trails he once knew well. His hunts are more difficult so he sticks with easy prey. His mind is distorted with revenge.
When we see Trump, many think he is going to open up the doors of that cage. He is walking over to the pen, and the lion is enraptured with the possibility of freedom. Former abusers watch on in fear, warning Trump what may happen if he lets it loose. They know what they’ve done to the lion over all these humiliating years of deprivation. They know that the lion is consuming itself with a starving anger. Trump himself may wonder if he is making a decision that can’t be reversed, and that if once freed, the lion could regain agency–do damn near anything. Perhaps Trump sees that deep down, the lion is a loyal beast. Or perhaps Trump is too confident.
This is truly the extent of the hunger in the West. The men out here, from Berlin, Germany, to Burns, Oregon, are itching for a fight, just thirsty for a leader. There are scores of examples of this in the news, but the first instance that comes to my mind is a call from a friend who, just the other night, rang me out of the blue and simply said, “When are we going to do something?” I had nothing to say but “Soon.”
The depression, the disappointment, the disenfranchisement, the arrogance of the media and academia; the loss of opportunities, the fraudulent financial system, destroyed lives, are all piling up on the cage. Men have decided they cannot be men with the leash of feminism. Our race will not be abandoned in a museum. God cannot be left in the ruins of churches. We decide we want to live again. And perhaps the exile is ready to come home.
