So I finally saw the first two eps and I'm shocked at how much I like this show, it's not perfect and Lincoln is your typical kid character who's written like an adult instead of a kid but I dunno the show has this weird charm to it.

Yeah the backgrounds aren't that great and there is a slight dip in animation quality in the dream sequence in episode one but overall the show's pretty good.

I think my main problem with it is well Lincoln isn't that great of a character which is a shame because his sisters all stand out on their own while he's just meh, I mean I get why they did that so more kids to relate to him but I dunno.

Also I don't like the fourth wall breaking narrative, it reminds me too much of Malcolm In the Middle and well yeah……

Overall good show will keep watching.

Then there's some event that makes the situation weirder or wronger (consider the halfway point of In Tents Debate.) Then comes act II, in which the consequences of that event play out. Everything comes to a head in a climax, in which everyone has to deal with all the consequences of the episode (consider the end of No Guts No Glori or Chore and Peace.) Then there's a short resolution.

You have a point. I wish things weren't so slow, but I'm sure things will pick up once we get new episodes next week.

One of the big reasons for why we still have months old threads in the catalog is the fact that there are a few people who keep bumping those threads back to the top just before they slide off page 10 even though discussion had fizzled out long ago. Because of the slow speed of the board and comparatively high bump limit, they're able to keep those dead threads on life support for months on end.

Take the Mimi thread for example. Its the oldest thread on the board, having been created back in December, and yet it has less than 200 posts. If you take a look at that thread and others like it, you'll see adjacent posts that are almost a week apart (it usually takes about a week for a thread on page 1 to slide down to page 10), and the newer post is almost always a very short reply to another post or an image dump of screenshots or deviantart tier fanart.

I'm sure things are gonna get much more interesting then.

The only reason TLH is perceived as """""good""""" is because the other contemporary cartoons are actually worse.
But the fact that they are should not be the reason we lower quality criteria and this one would bomb, if it was aired 15 years ago.

New episode wasn't great. Never been a fan of the "lol just get up on stage nobody's gonna complain" sorta thing.

May be bias because of Luna, but I did enjoy this episode. Seeing her and Lincoln bond was nice.

The ending seemed meh but the overall episode was really good, we finally get an explanation as to why Luna is the way she is and why she's so passionate about music. Which honestly shocks me as I didn't think they would go into any backstory for the sisters but they did and it was great.

No, I just have taste and say just because the "average" bar has been lowered to shit after all these years, we should not use said bar to rate cartoons
