I slogged through first season hoping for Amon arc to go somewhere.
The final was a bit explosive and i ended up liking the villains more than the protagonists.

Then i went into season two and this glorious fucker appeared.
I watched rest of the season for him.

Then came season 3 and we got some badass villains for this season.
That was all.

Then finally season 4 with Korra being in a wheelchair at start due to shit happening in season 3 and then getting her powers back.
During all these seasons i think her character didn't grow at all.

Hell, some of the best things in the show didn't have Korra on them, like the few episode avatar Wan story arc.

There exist laws like that; they're called "Romeo and Juliet" exceptions and while not universal, they're common enough.

That was the key problem of the entire series: absolutely no time is given to introduce the character of Korra to the audience.

The idea behind Korra is solid. A deliciously brown teen girl with nice tits who's the opposite of Aang in personality. Then they send her to Republic City to learn Airbending, which is a prime opportunity for the audience to get to know her. This was the perfect set-up for a tightly character focused story which would be great for the limited number of episodes they had.

Instead, we get fucking pro-bending, korra part of an equalist fighting task-force, and a plot far too gray for a character introduction story. The result was a fucking mess that affected the following seasons, with every subsequent story feeling rushed, poorly thought out, and lacking any real direction.

So there's this consensus that all characters EXCEPT Korra had some development, even off screen characters like Eska.

Even the gay prince managed to show he was the most level headed in a crisis and could command badger moles.

I think the better solutions though were just to have her be less over powered at the start (bending three elements while still a toddler), keeping Amon around. by having someone else assume the mask (Amon dies but his identity is never revealed), and rewrite the 2nd arc thoroughly or at least completely change its ending.

And, honestly, I didn't particularly mind the 3rd and 4th arcs.

Oh, and 3rd and 4th though I don't mind, they felt rushed in a lot of areas, and some moments lack genuine depth or explanation- especially in arc 3 and most of Korra's moments- Fucking amnesia.

Also, forgot to add the two mandatory aspects needed to fix the show-

Give Mako an actual personality, character, depth, and some significance beyond mindless bimbo with a penis.
