people keep recommending me monster movies or thrillers
so far ive seen the ruins (monster movie/ torture porn ) Trick r Treat ( rated R kids movie ) Dark.City (thriller) Crimson Peak ( a thriller/ love story that happened to have ghost in it ) Kill List (thriller, boring as fuck)
Benjamin Gonzalez
Funny Games, the original one, is really intense. If you are family oriented it will most likely freak you out. Very uncomfortable to watch as it makes the audience feel weak. Some of Lynch's work is IMO far scarier than any real horror film specifically Lost Highway, Inland Empire, and Mulholland Drive. For a tv show check out Chris Morris' Jam. Technically it's comedy but you will see what I mean if you watch it. For some short stuff look into Chris Cunningham. Check out his short Rubber Johnny. I'll post again if I think of more.

Movies aren't scary unless you're a child. Booga booga, some scary pictures! Oh no, what's gonna happen, my fucking television is going to murder me?
You don't watch horror movies to be scared, you watch them to be thrilled.

Fuck yeah.

I assume you mean the remake ? (seen it) or do you mean the 1960 movie seen it seen it ill look this up i know about this movie but haven't seen it i saw the first hellraiser i laughed at some of the scenes I'll look this up i thought this was the Mist for a second I'll watch this. seen it i never saw this, holy shit after the abortion that was 2. I only sat through it because Linda blair was hot as fuck.
meh, The Babadook was fucking disturbing because as im watching the movie a realize that it's an unreliable narrator, the boy isn't crazy, its the mother, the boy has been acting the way he dose to protect him self from her. this may have not even been the first time she tried to kill him.
The Thing is also fucking crazy, i love that movie.
Adrian Sanders
It makes up for the abortion that was 2. Arguably scarier than the original.

I'm a sucker for monster movies, so I'll spit out some titles I've enjoyed.
It Follows: For me it's less about fear and more about the tension the movie builds. The way the monster follows its rules gives a constant air of unease for the main character. This along with the synth music keeps the atmosphere tense. I didn't have problems with it, but a number of people feel the movie comes short of expectation in the third act.
Evil Dead I: Out of the trilogy, I'd say this movie builds the most dread. Watch it before the 2nd movie, otherwise the sequel will ruin a lot of the moments that show up in the first one. The effects are cheap, but the actors play it straight and manages to pull it off.
Evil Dead II: Raimi has a bigger budget than the first movie, and he uses to pull of much better practical effects. It combines both horror and comedy and succeeds in keeping the movie grounded enough from becoming pure hilarity or too dark and grotesque. The humor makes it funny but increasingly unsettling as the protagonist struggles to deal with a unfathomable situation.
Deep Dark: Worth watching if only for the "what the hell am I watching" factor. A struggling artist can't make a piece worth selling. A relative of his offers an apartment to him to give him inspiration. There's a hole in the wall with a voice talking through it. I'll leave the rest to you.
Let the Right One In: Be sure to watch the foreign version. The setting is eerie and the characters are interesting. It's worth it to see the build up for the ending scene.
The Battery: Cheap indie zombie film. It's not the greatest movie out there, but the soundtrack and bearded guy help hold the film together.
Xavier Russell
You should edit the picture to say "Are you freaking kitten me?". Just a suggestion otherwise it's a 8/10 picture.
Hunter Nelson
I thought Dark City was a sci-fi movie?
Alexander Anderson
Anything from the cuckold genre.
Levi Smith
Are there any that are creepy without jumpscares? I can't stand those fucking things.
Austin Parker
I guess Kwaidan? Also there's the Haunting which is a film from the 60's.
Thomas Nguyen
Looking for preferably black and white or at least old (I can't stand new movies) ghost/ haunted house type movies.
Hunter Moore
White Zombie? Haxan? Pretty much anything from the 20's and 30's?

That one is so good.
David Gonzalez
I read the book, it's not a loli, it's a boy…
Lucas Lee
In both movies it was a girl, they always fuck up something major when doing a book to movie transition huh
Ryder Scott
Movies aren't scary. Go walk through a rough neighbourhood at night.
Luke Rivera
Pretty sure in the Swedish movie Eli flat out says he's not a girl. I haven't seen the other version because I heard it was shit.
Thomas Clark
I must have missed that line in the movie or just plain forgotten it but on imdb its description is "Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl." and it has a girl playing Eli. The movie never even bothered to paint Eli in a androgynous light or anything
Logan Torres
IMDB probably described it like that to avoid spoilers.
Owen Davis
Yea after reading up on it a bit more Eli apparently showed his crotch and it was just a scar. Didnt remember that bit from the movie, still a dick move to have a girl actress instead of some underage boy on boy kissing
