Not only does it shoehorn a "we should fuck haha just kidding... unless....." ending into every fucking A support when other games can more organically build into it by using the A support as a resolution to the main conflict of the support and the S as the romantic resolution, but it makes it so fucking obnoxious to get the paired endings that you want unless you intentionally avoid viewing any A ending for any pairing that you don't want together in the game's ending. S support is a far cleaner way of handling that issue, even if you didn't have an actual support convo associated with it and kept everything else the same.
