I get the feeling the giant is dead now isn't he?

I liked the movie. Though the end I thought was a bit too whimsical it was pretty good overall.

Looking at him makes me sad.

He was not a retard, he had a growth disorder, that's why he looked so strange.

Yepp, he died in 2005

Thats sad. Hope he had a good life at least.

I enjoyed it. Not his best work but still fun to watch. I think Tim Burtons best movies are Mars Attacks, Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood.

Too big for this world.

Maybe I'm just a dick but it was too sentimental, it's like Forest Gump, they both make me gag on the saccharine.

he's a big fish

I liked it a lot more than I thought I would based on the previews. It is very sentimental, but I thought it had some real heart, not just schmaltz.

Yeah I caught it on t.v. and was expecting much but I was pleasantly suprised, it wasn't amazing but it definitely has character.

It does a good job of portraying the middle America of the past and its great to have a film set in that period where you aren't having "le evil white bigots" shoved in your face.
