I'm gonna need to see some de jure kingdoms/empires map modes.I'd probably pick up some one-province steppe tribe in the bumfuck north-east and turn it into a huge horde, if there are horde mechanics in 1.0, which there probably won't be because it's good DLC material.

Paradox really went downhill in the last decade. Horrendous buggy launches, barebones gameplay without dozens of DLC and mods, relying on community to fix games, extremely slow dev time for basic additions, high price points, etc.A few years ago I was trying to figure out what was their last good release. A game that felt like a game on release and not a mirage. Probably CK1 or HoI2, MAYBE EU:Rome (which was really bad on release but was still a game). I realized that CK1 was 16 years ago and HoI2 was 15 years, and that was the last time I bought anything Paradox related. It's just become so fucking tiresome.When they started to actually remove features and modability from CK2 to make into DLC (Sword of Islam is a big contender), I knew old Paradox was gone. At this point Creative Assembly might have rebounded and become better than Paradox which I never thought would happen.
