Playing dragon age origins rn. I tried it once like 2 or 3 years before but got burned out at the dwarf castle. This time I just got to the final battle with the darkspawn, so I'll soon finish it. Been playing some Just Cause 4 lately and I don't really like it. It can be fun to mess around with the grapple tools at least, and the jetpack and hoverboard are pretty fun additions. Been playing a lot of Dark souls 3 invasions recently too, as well as trying to learn to speedrun a spongebob game. Nothing's really sticking lately, I have a hard time getting the motivation to play things for more than an hour.

I don't play many JRPGs that aren't turn-based so I might not have a great idea of what the average JRPG combat system is like, but this game has definitely turned me on to more real-time combat system JRPGs. The first game had much more focus over each human character's familiars, which were sort of like Pokemon, and their own attacks were usually negligible at best. The new combat system improves upon the human characters' combat a lot but completely gets rid of the team building strategy, catching, and evolution system that a rewarding Pokemon-like system provides. I loved the first one way back then, and this one's pretty good too if you can pirate it.

Fear & Hunger.This is without a doubt one of the rare games that deserve the "Dark Souls of ... games" title. It was a long time since I was so frustrated, terrified, and intrigued at the same time. The early game is fucking brutal, and 99% of the game difficulty is based on player knowledge and skill although coin toss rng can fuck you over hard sometimes.If you like grimdark atmosphere, getting spooked, rape scenes, and difficult games with hidden mechanics, I'd recommend pirating it and going in blind without reading any guides. It's a very old-school experience of discovering things for yourself and unimaginable suffering that it entails.Oh yeah, and there's anal bleeding status effect, and when you get it, you feel like it was applied to you as well.
