>>507561841I think the primary reason is that is places too much of the artistic burden on the end user. The figures are small and have no facial features so they aren't as pre-built and easily moddable as the choking scene. Also strangling is a lot more visceral, standing over someone is a bit boring.

LBP had a very limited level creator but some of the shit people could pull off with it was stellar. I think that was in part due to how limited it was. With Dreams, the engine is so complex that genuinely fun stuff takes ages to create. At that point, anyone with the time and skill could just hop to a real engine like unity. Also, I love the storymode in LBP, which Dreams didn't have. Which game on my 3x3 did you dislike, btw?

The action is visceral as fuck, the characters are made endearing with these really odd character moments, and the pacing constantly throws you for a loop. You can't predict it like you could vaguely predict the structure of anything else in Shonen Jump right now.The mangaka has another series called Fire Punch that gets a lot of praise and is in my backlog.

Before each mission you build your army by choosing three different squad types (archers, spear men, sword and shield, etc.) but then once you're in the mission the songs you play control the entire army at once. The attack song makes all three squads attack, the defend makes all three squads defend, you get the idea. You don't really control the actions of the individual squads. It's pretty simple I guess but there's some nuance to it and the rhythm aspects make it really fun.

>>507602217Yeah the tricks are pretty simple, more like something like shaun white snowboarding which is pretty unfortunate. But what it does right is just offering freedom. There's an insane amount of mountain accessible to you from the moment you play. It all looks nice and is full of good routes to try out tricks. As you go down the mountain you might spot an area off to the side that looks like a good place to start a run from, and then you can make your way over there and build a little course and run it through until you're happy with it. It can be a little mindless but it's also rewarding to be able to do things at your own pace without being explicitly told to. Plus there's wingsuiting and a jetpack which can be a nice distraction. I have a lot of hours in the game and I've pretty much ignored all the baked in content like races and challenges.

I'm not big on it because I played 3U first and there's a ton of overlap, but admittedly that game wouldn't have been as good were it not for the former. Also P3rd is much easier to emulate, especially for toasters.
