I don't know. The same could be said about Titanic or Avatar, and those reviews turned out fine.

Somehow I hate their fanbase even more now.

They won't say the movie is awful, because they already saw their fanbase's positive reaction to their good coverage of it, and they like Jew Jew too much, so they won't backtrack.

But I'm pretty sure they're far more sceptical about the movie now, after ruminating over it for a few months.

Just finished watching it. Yes, all 2 hours. Not only was it a complete waste of time, but the hipster nu-male beta fuckboys that eat their shit up have en-masse given it a thumbs up and asked for seconds. It was an alright review. It went way too long on the ring theory shit and rebashing the prequels, and I could feel he doesn't like the diversity injection into star wars but he just couldn't bring himself straight bash it. He would say "Theres no point in there being this much diversity because the kids who watch these movies don't care" but the would immediately say "diversity is great". Still made a good joke about finn not shooting anyone though.

Anyway those were my main two points I didn't like. The review would have been better if he just did it the old way and went through the movie and disecting it but maybe it wouldn't be same considering TFA is more competently made garbage rather than incompetently made.

This was just horrible. I started falling asleep several times while watching it, barely took note of any humor, and noticed the video was an hour in before it really took any kind of shot at TFA. I can't even say what about the movie was criticized a half-hour past watching it because none of it was memorable.

I think you need to re-examine the changes from a visual storytelling standpoint. Greedo was going to shoot Han but Han was quicker. It's just visual clarification of what's going on more than anything. The rock was sort of pointless but again, it was also just clarification that R2 was hiding.

Nobody ever mentions the objectively good changes, like switching out the matte painting in the foreground at the end of ANH with real actors. Or the changes that made cloud city look more expansive instead of a very cheap set. Or the expanded ending to the trilogy.
