The great debate

The great debate.

The battle of the desaturated war feels fests.

Which one is the best, and why is it the pacific?

Band of Brothers had the better characters and story
The Pacific did a better job capturing the real bloody conflict of war
Generation Kill looks like shit

have you seen it? its great. just torrent it fam.

Band of Brothers was the best but Generation Kill is by far the most accurate.

Generation Kill>Band of Brothers>The Pacific

Pacific was really good, it gave me feels, especially the last episode where he's just walking around in his garden, and breaks down because of the ptsd, his father comes runs to him and just stays with him no words are said. It was very feels.

A combination of these two. BoB has best characters and writing, Pacific captures the darker side of war, and Gen Kill is the most accurate.

Pacific did the "War is Hell" theme well and probably captured the feel of the thing the best. Gen Kill honestly felt too "Hollywood liberal" for me. BoB was the best "story", so to speak, I know it's based on real events, but from a storytelling perspective, it's probably my favorite. Points deducted though because Spielberg just couldn't help himself and made all the Dachau inmates Jews even though they were mostly non-Jews, but Spielberg has a persecution complex the size of Saturn despite being one of the wealthiest, most successful, most beloved, and most overall well-off men alive.

Also how the 101st never went there.

Damien Lewis did a really great job as MAJ Winters.

are all of these worth watching?
ive seen none of them

They are all great in their own way.

Bob is my least favorite, too sappy and too much about nazi murder porn.

Pacific gets a bit too hammy about oh boo hoo war.

Genkill is an accurate depiction of the iraq war by a bunch of retards.

for Gen Kill were the soldiers retards or the people who made it retards?

The soldiers.

oh ok then.

would the soldiers be considered an accurate depiction of the soldiers who fought in Iraq.

In my uni course, we come into contact with a lot of experienced senior military people and they say Generation Kill is by far the most accurate portrayal of combat you'll see on television

Seconded. An Afghanistan vet I go to college with said the same exact thing.

Its generation Kill you jiggaboo, with pacific definitely being 2ndplace and BoB being kinda meh honestly, too fuckin hollywood.

pacific had some suprisingly decent combat imo, I liked that its about a mortar crew which is the explanation for why they arent as retarded as the rest of the muhreens, basic maths and all that

Generation Kill on the other hand is a masterpiece.

Most REMFs and PoGs cant into Gen. Kill, they get bored and disturbed, they dont understand just how fucking landser that show is:

barely anything happens, constant boredom, constant shit-talking, when something happens its fast and terrible

its also filled with little truths without going full hollywood preachy, and has probably the greatest monologue in war movie history, when hes answering that kids letter

I find it fascinating that a woman directed this for the most part, she clearly had some help from the author or had a chance to extensively watch muhreens anonymously in their natural habitat, the hypermasculine atmosphere that develops when you have a bunch of knuckleheads stuck together somewhere without any females is captured perfectly

One of the greatest shows made in the past 20 years, and really the only good "film" about iraq

Generation Kill is like going on a journey with your bros through a sandnigger infested wasteland. Women literally cannot understand it.

don't mind us, we're just the ones who did the vast majority of the fighting

What's it called in English? Any subtitled version? I wouldn't mind watching it.

not sure. here's it on IMBD:

War is glorious, these cuck films do nothing but spread fallacy.

why aren't you in Syria right now?

...

yes. half the cast were actual service members, like that one guy rudy, the gay sniper.

>>>/jew/ is that way

Maybe war used to be glorious, before all the landmines, machine guns, tanks, aircraft, artillery, etc. Now its just terrifying.

vast majority of the dying you mean, sasha

I mean, he could be.

By any chance were you born silver spoon in hand?

Nah, he was made to raise the flag. Are you a fucking idiot?

Eat shit PoG.

you sure he wasn't born with star spangled eyes?

It ain't me

why live

Well he's no senator's son.

They still do that in Africa, you should go get BLACKED

I've never watched any of these.
