Horror Kino

Since Halloween is on its' way, who here can name some good Horror Kino?

Creepshow
Salem's Lot
The Inkeepers

Kwaidan
Noroi The Curse
Dracula

Which Dracula?

I was thinking of either the 1930's one or Bram Stokers Dracula though I do like the Hammer Horror film mostly for Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Halloween is fucking cancer

it's seriously worse than Christmas at this point

Yeah, the film aged badly.

I'd argue slasher films wore out their welcome.

It's not as faggoty as Christmas though.

...

...

...

I watch the first Poltergeist every October.

...

Kill yourself ruskie

Really? you guys aren't sick of all the cliche's in slasher films?

Halloweenkino coming through.

...

my nigga

sorry James, not gonna plan this year's Monster Madness for you

go back to watching your wife sleep with Bootsy

That is objectively false.

...

Personally I'm not a big Western fan though I do like some of the films. Sci fi cliches are annoying but I can look pass it if its well done. Same with action and mobster films. I guess I was never big into slashers. Never my thing, I preferred real monsters like werewolves or kaiju or cthulu.

To actually contribute, Dog Soldiers.

It has Lucius Vorenus and his squad fighting werewolves.

noice m8.

I guess the original Haunting, Dagon and maybe Ju On?

House on haunted hill was one of those amusingly bad films, and 13 ghosts was pretty scary when I watched it.

so's your face

Are you underage?

no, why?

Your response sounded like the sort of thing I'd hear when I was 10.

...

Its not very good.

neither is your face

🎄 >>>>>>> 🎃

You some sorta faggot, user?

I'm not the one who kisses anuses at the black mass, witch.

>>>/christian/

Please kill yourself, kike-worshipping christfag.

...

...

please fuck off instead of ruining a perfectly good thread.

Christfags can't seem to control themselves.

I still think he's underage, too.

...

In the mouth of madness.

Go watch Interview with Vampire and grow up from hokey campy shit.

...

great choice, tbh

The Haunting
Cure
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

You like gay vampires and you think classic Dracula is campy? AAAAALRIGHTY THEN!
faggot

Is /christian/ the new boogeyman for Holla Forums instead of Holla Forums because nobody mentioned Christianity but you. Okay.
PRAISE JESUS Holla Forums IS A CHRISTIAN BOARD

...

Holla Forums is populated by bunch of edgy 12 year olds.

Christians are so cute when they act like they're better than anyone else.

...

Suspiria.

It's like Holla Forums doesn't know about horror at all.

I'm sure A Trip to the Moon is still a riveting sci fi film to this day as well.

Out of curiosity how is Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch Project? I've never been interested in that sort of stuff but looking at how successful they are I have to wonder if they're actually any good or if they're the type of thing where nothing happens for long periods of time and then jumpscare galore for the last 20 or so minutes and then the movie also ends on a jumpscare.

The only found footage movie I've watched was the one with the Skype call and it was terrible.

You watched Unfriended

Blair Witch Project worked really well at the time. It was an unknown quantity and used media in a new way. You had fake documentaries and websites set up. Now like the original Star wars it isn't as special because everything copied it.

Paranormal activity has aged a bit better as it didn't get any real main stream copy cats.

Neither are really jump scare focused. BWP is a slow burn psychology horror with "oh fuck" moments but no jump scares. Paranormal activity has 1 jump scare I remember but the main focus is just a tense build up and small stuff happening which slowly builds up to larger things.

I liked the first paranormal activity. Make sure to watch it at night.

I remember hating it but that's because the entity freaked me the fuck out.

There's a thread going on Holla Forums about footage movie that's pretty nice. Got 2 recs and actually enjoyed them.

I love the Blair Witch Project. It still scares me after all these years. I think it's far and away the best found footage movie ever made.

Anyone who can't enjoy Halloween as a horror film is a fraud if you consider yourself a horror fan. Not a lot that came after can really compare to this film in terms of tension, mood setting and camera work, that's why it stands the test of time. Go watch your torture porn shock with wall to wall shakey cam or better yet the Rob Zombie version with references to "skull fucking."

And you've lost it 😂

Here you fags go:
Pontypool
House of the Devil
Resolution
Wolf Creek
30 Days of Night
Frozen
Martyrs
Rec
VHS 1 & 2
You're Next
Funny Games
The Mist
Dreamcatcher
Descent
Drag Me To Hell
Slither
Cat's Eye
Scanners
Cannibal Holocaust
Jeepers Creepers
Frailty

I know it shits up the plot completely but it's still a nice addition.
I like the different perspective.

Paranormal activity was boring. It's just 2 hours of doors rattling.

Get out, Dobbo.

yeah!
for more fantastic ham from Sam Neil, try Quicksilver Highway if you can find it.

Okay faggot, which of your movies is better than John Carpenter's Halloween? I'm going to say none, because you're obviously a 13 year old that doesn't know horror or movies in general.

Seriously? This list sucks honestly.

Try it you'll like it

VILE! Nice choice

Pontypool was far better than it had any right to be.
I looked up the general plot before I watched it and thought it was fucking stupid, but the movie is genuinely pretty good.
It also scared me a little bit tbh, but I know that it's probably mostly because I'm a pussy.

I mention disliking a movie and you go on a butthurt tirade. You're the reason fandoms are cancer.

Yeah, I'm obviously 13. Fuck horror movies too, I bet that makes you really mad, mr horror4life.

I liked Frailty a lot more than I thought I would.

Can't name any horror movies better than John Carpenter's Halloween then.

Cry about it on Tumblr. It's not my fact you're a movie newfag.

Thanks for owning up to it. You thought trashing classic horror kino was being edgy or something. Pretty much a red flag you don't know shit and you're underage or at least have that mentality. You also called it outdated and couldn't explain why or couldn't even list new movies you think are better because you have nothing.

Yes, it's already established you don't know shit about horror.

Not as mad as you are for being outted as a faggot.

Holy shit you're pathetic

Pontypool was more science fiction than horror. I really liked it also fam.

Holla Forums is gearing up to make /christian/ the boogeyman for october. They're still trying to decide between /k/ and /tg/ for december

palpatine's behind it all

sheevposting will never die

Pontypool is great.

Funny games is damn disturbing.

Need to see more of the others.

Sounds like something Holla Forums would say.

I never said it was only for Halloween. It's just that Halloween is very good time of year to watch them.

...

Frozen was supposed to be a horror movie? I didn't know that.

Yet another thread derailed by belligerent christcucks.

Nice retort, retard. Go learn what horror movies are.

Ghostbusters 2016 was a pretty good horror movie tbh

Low effort bait.

What does Holla Forums think of It Follows?
I liked it

Excellent fucking choices. You can find them on Youtube with subs so there's no excuse for you fags to not watch them.
I went out and hunted down a half-dozen movies by Noroi's director and so far none have disappointed.

I'm surprised you liked the movies by the Noroi director he made after Noroi the curse. I found the films he made after those to be quite lacking.

You know that Disney movie could've had horror elements in it had they showed how messed up Elsa's psyche was and how the frozen castle and ice monsters are a reflection of that.
