so?

it means that Holla Forums can enjoy it in full autism mode

I don't know. I can't imagine how the movie could benefit from a monochrome version.

music only

no dialogue or sound effects

what the fuck is the point?

why not just turn down the color on your TV?

and why would you want black and white anyways?

You got me excited for a second there that they might actually be doing something to fix the movie's flaws. It's just the same thing without colour.

The movie isn't feminist guys, why do you keep saying that it is? Mad Max is in it, and he drives around just like in the old movies. he never talked much in the old movies anyway, what's wrong with him being like that in the new movie? You all just can't handle new characters or change or what?

actually i just say it because it triggers the retards here who actually believe that shit

>>>/normies/

Yeah, okay, it isn't even like it being feminist would be a problem anyway.

Holla Forums sure is full of sensitive boys.

tranny please

It is a feminist film. Just because it isn't cringe worthy like all the others and so on the nose with its message doesn't mean it is not a feminist film.

While I enjoyed the film, I begrudgingly have to admit that this is true. However, I enjoy the high-paced action in the film enough that these elements weren't as obnoxious as it could have been, and I would recomend it to somebody who wants great action scenes

You forgot
>NOBODY SHOOTS AT THE FUCKING TIRES

He wasn't such a big guy back then

Nobody ever shot the tires in all Mad Max movies.

...

I'd actually prefer it all in golden hues to plain old b&w
I guess I'll have to play with display settings

Because he's a side character in the movie of a boring non-entity whose entire character can be described as "has a robotic arm and scowls a lot".

You see, Mad Max was the story of a man struggling for his sanity in a world slowly but surely going insane.

Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior was the story of that same man, turned a misanthropic wanderer who lives from day to day by scavenging on the remains of the old world and predating on his would-be attackers, regaining some measure of humanity and empathy for his fellow man in spite of himself.

Thunderdome was just a retread of the themes from the second, which is just one of the many reasons why it wasn't good.

In Fury Road, though, we know exactly jack diddly squat about Max. He "couldn't protect" some people, he hallucinates about some randos we can only assume are the aforementioned people but don't have a single clue why he (or us) would give a singular shit about, looks like he might have some sort of mild mental retardation, acts as a personal driver (after being taken out like a complete bitch right at the start of the movie, amazing behind the wheel that he is) and muscle for 2 hours, and then goes away. The end.

See the difference yet?

...

i'm pretty sure that's just a set-up for a pre-sequel , we know that there are other movies in the franchise coming already

what a shitty fucking meme release

More like I don't like feminist and librul shite and if you're not a cuck you probably won't enjoy the movie either. It's a shoddy movie relying on spectacle to begin with but the agenda makes it insufferable. I've never been told it was bad or agenda driven, everyone said it was amazing but they were wrong.

I think the feminist thing is the least of Fury Road's problems.

Why is the movie called Mad Max, when Max is a side character and has three lines in the movie?

YEAH BUT MAX WASN'T THE MAIN CHARACTER IN ROAD WARRIOR EITHER
t. fury rod apologists

If so, humanity should probably be looking into turning poor Byron Kennedy's grave into a dynamo as a solution for all of the world's energy problems.

Even if that's the case, it's still just bad storytelling.

I seriously didn't cared about all this feminist shit in it. The only thing that really bothered me is that why was Rosie Huntington-Whiteley called "The Splendid" Angharad, while every other girl was more attractive then her

I want to say that I, and the five people I saw this movie with, do not agree with anyone who claims this movie had good action.
It showed very little violence, the choreography was very plain and boring, and the cinematography acted as if it was trying to hide what was going on a lot of the time.
It's like somewhere down the line they decided this movie should be PG-13. Nothing was brutal, or realistic. None of it looked painful. People were shot once and then fell off of camera and it did not seem real enough for the style the movie was going for.
Also, almost all of the plot was incredibly annoying to sit through because compared to the first two, everyone's motives came off as very selfish. There were slave children, fat women being used as as cows, and thousands of citizens who needed help. Furiosa steals an entire bus just to save the four people who had the best lives out of that society. And then there was the horrible romance sub-plot with Nux. Not to mention the dialogue in almost every scene was atrocious.
Sure, give it Oscars for costumes and set designs, but anyone claiming this is the best Mad Max movie, or even "a really good action movie", is dead wrong.

I really don't know what you mean by this. The camera centering makes all the important actions easy to follow. The choreography somehow looked too clean, but it's still a very well choreographed action movie, maybe too well for some people's taste, especially the mad max prequel fans.

It's nowhere as gritty and realistic as the previous mad max movies, but I guess Miller just wanted to try a different direction. Also, working with big budget means miller had to grab the indiana jones audience by creating a more casual action flick instead of a strict budget exploitation film like usual.

...

really makes you think

Fuck off back to your safespace, numale.

Because you're one of them. Normal people don't like cult training.

Everybody and their mother identify nowadays as 'feminist' and each of them have a different understanding of the term.

I didn't notice the feminist undertones. For me personally, Mad Max Fury Road was first and foremost an anti-religion movie.

Immortan Joe sets up a cult with cool cars at the centre ('V8'!') because boys like cool cars.

He makes them believe they will rise from their graves so that the Warboys give their lives willingly for their leader.

And the guitar player is just the icing on the top. After all, boys like rock music.

But that's just my interpretation as an atheist.

the fucking guitar player was a signalman, he played different tunes to relay different commands to the troops on the field.

jesus fucking christ does nobody understand basic military tactics any more?

shut the fuck up faggot. it was meant to be cool. thats it. go back to /k/

Not really, I came to the conclusion that Joe was always the true hero of this movie.

there's nothing cool about an asshole in red pyjamas tapping out skrillex on a guitar

They should have just made another movie with Mel.

The first question that sprang to my mind while watching the movie for the first time is why Furiosa wasn't forced to be a breeder herself.

I mean she seems to be prime physical condition, no lesions or mutations or anything and it's not like missing an arm would stop her from bearing children.
Seems kind of odd to sacrifice a good unpozzed womb just to have another Driver.

i'm 99% sure furiosa was joe's "adopted" daughter - that's what the whole comment was about

I'm pretty certain she was at one point, but she was found to be barren.

That's Communist rhetoric.

Also this is an example of a movie that has obvious problems, but you can still enjoy it, because it's entertaining as hell

That was the plan 15 years ago, then it was dropped to a cameo as "the drifter"

They could probably still do that with the next one, maybe a passing the torch.

I think this is the reason why it under-performed imo. And let's be honest, jews made sure he wasn't in another Mad Max film.

Why does max have flashback of a little girl? when he had a son in the first movie not a daughter

Because feminism.

I believe the official reason is that it's a rebooting sequel, but as for an in-universe explanation, I just think his sanity got to the point that he blended people from his past into new forms. The girl is a fusion of his wife and son, the black dude could be tina turner and the gyro captain, or if you run with the feral kid theory, it's not even Max.

It's about feminism, yeah, but it's about how feminism is fucking retarded and anyone who identifies as feminist is a selfish moron.

Does black and white make every movie look better?

...

no fun allowed eh?
