What's the deal with "coming of age" stories anyway? Why aren't midlife crisis stories or elderly stories placed on such a pedestal? Puberty isn't even that great.
How the fuck would a midlife crisis story or an elderly story be great? One would be about an alcoholic who drinks himself to death and the other would be a bout a man who dies in his home after he falls and breaks his hip.
