ITT: Overrated flicks

ITT: bait

Sorry, I'm not going to be convinced otherwise unless you do more than just post movie posters from a particular series or director

Low effort bait, OP

Winding Refn is frustrating because he takes some pretty interesting and appealing approaches to cinematography, and applies them to scripts written by an edgy twelve-year-old. It's bamboozling that people like his shit when the plot always swaps between dull as fuck and going "and then… and then… and then…" and always contains retarded shit no descernable reason (like people having their skulls stomped inwards and people multiating themselves to spread HIV). Why do people like this awfulness?

that episode of Marple he directed is by far the best one though

Everything by this jackass is overrated.

How does it feel to be so, so wrong?

...

Overrated =/= bad
fam every movie is technically overrated.

How does it feel to be so, so reddit?

If anything Star Wars is underrated.

Star Wars series is a legitimately fun series with amazing 2001 Space Odyssey tier visuals that can't be found in other flicks. The sound effects and score are incredibly delightful. Lightsaber and force are arguably the greatest movie weapons ever invented. It's just a flick, but it's rated very highly by everyone for a reason.

It's still bait.

Negro, you serious?

That scene is in there for a very good reason. It drives home, both for us and for Irene, that as much as we may like the Driver, he's a dangerous criminal and a complete fucking psycho, and there's no getting away from it.

This movie is shit. The shots are lame, the dialogs are autistic and lame, the characters are unlikable assholes, the music is incredibly lame. Why didn't Refn go full Tarkovsky and make extensive focus on nature shots and philosophical dialogs about the metaphysical background of being a criminal?

Downfall is pretty great user. Don't let the memes blind you to that. It's also important to note how much shit it got into in Germany for showing the Nazi leadership as (charismatic) individuals instead of fucking demons from hell.

Goldeneye is obviously the best Brosnan film but that isn't saying much.

...

What, no Mrs. Doubtfire?

I meant the best Brosnan Bond film but come to think of it isn't it his best film overall?

Sounds exactly like a triggered SJW

It was to the b-science fiction movie genre what Alien was to the b-monster movie genre.
