Le kino capeshit face

le kino capeshit face

Lol, it looks just as fucking awful as Avengers.

...

Are the bad guys the American military?

What the hell where the russians thinking!?!?!?!

Say what you will about corruption in hollywood and other businesses, at least it TENDS to breed talent.

Also, anyone else notice the bad guy just looks like whiplash and even used energy whips at one part?

These arent even that. These "Guardians" are more like murricans talking russian.

It's a Guardians of the Galaxy rip off not an Avengers rip off.

The hollywood system has produced fantastic talent over the years.

What's fucked things up now is demographics. Up until recently, success was determined by a fairly educated Western middle-class audience.

Now you have kids with money, plebs with money, international audiences etc… so you end up with capeshit and YA hunger-game shit everywhere.

Why its so hard to make other countries understand that if you want to success as a Hollywood alternative, you make film NOT LIKE Hollywood ones?

Welcome to modern Russia, where being Russian by nationality is a bad thing.

I didn't think this could get any worse

At least there won't be any niggers.

at least in the first one they had Tarkovsky

Seems about right. So right it's almost like poetry.

After about fifty years.

so we get black mary jane and black stronk iron girl and they get this? I say its pure kino already.

Sodom is answer for what?

What do you think Russians are?

How is a movie made in 1972 an answer to a movie made in 2001? Idiot.

…the kind of poetry that makes you want to kill yourself.

I wan't the reality in which advancement in tech meant cheaper productions being grander, not cheap thrills with expensive budgets.

...

Since when is nationalism in Russia considered bad?
Are you fucking drunk?

literally braindead retarded

It's called 2001:A Space Odyssey you fags. It's a name. From back when people thought we would have great advancements past the year 2000.
The russian movie was made 4 years later.

Besides computers, medicine and a few military upgrades what really changed between 1968 and 2001? Nothing, basically. From an evolutionary perspective, in 30-something year we didn't do much. As a matter of fact, the wonders we achieved in the late 1960s (such as the Moon landings) are far more interesting than current international space stations, Martian probes and stuff like that.

We thought we were going to leave the Earth, instead we're stuck here more than ever before, in an endless war against a foreign culture that we thought was good as dead after WWI.

It's true that we live better now than 50 years ago. But somehow the world is still a darker place than it used to be. We don't believe in space odysseys anymore. We don't believe that anything good will happen 50 years from now. We're living the dystopia. We're the soulless future writers have been writing about for decades.

When did everything go so wrong?

Was it the end of the Cold War? Was it the War on Terror? Are the baby boomers to blame for this?

Wrong timescale numpty.

Compare our techonological improvement from the 30s to the late 60s.

Were you two dropped as babies or something?

dude, you need to give the ivans some time to hone their capeshit. theyve basically been crawling around on floor of oblast turning yellow from moonshine potato vodka throughout the 90s, you are witnessing a nation only now slowly standing up economically, never mind in terms of "culture"

in 20 years, they will be outdoing merka with this kind of garbage, mark my words, and it might even be better if they can harness some of that stalkeresque russki mysticism

FUCKING

RUSSIAN

FURRIES

Soviet "Patriotism" confuses the hell out of me. Are they patriotic about Communist ideology, or about a time period when they thought Russia was strong? Because there was no Russian State between 1918 and 1991, the Soviet Union was a multinational, multicultural, multiracial, and multilingual superstate, even under Stalin and later leaders, all Pre-October Revolution Russian culture was heavily suppressed, and "Russian" "Culture" devolved entirely into FARM LAND AND SMELT METAL FOR GLORY OF GREAT SOVIET REPUBLIC OF LABOR, LOOK HOW WE INTO SPACE, COMRADE!

See, what you have to understand is that Pre-1917 Russian Civilization was ENTIRELY, and I mean ENTIRELY based on Orthodox Christianity, inherited from the Byzantines, and the legacy of the Russian State as "Third Rome". Sure, Russia still had some things about it that made it unique, but every aspect of their civilization revolved entirely around Orthodoxy, even their government. The Tsar gained his powers and authority directly from the will of God and served as the Emperor of All Russians, not just in Russia, but across the world, because it was seen to be God's will. When the Jews removed that and destroyed Orthodox culture, all the people really had left was farming and factory and industry work. So, that's basically what their culture turned into. When Stalin came to power, he recognized that Russians have always been a proud people though, and from where they used to gain pride their religion and their Tsar, they now gained it through labor, so he encouraged it to grow his own power base and turn the Soviet Union into an industrial superpower. They remained heavily puritan though, and socially conservative under Stalin and onward, after suffering from a brief Trotskyite infection early on. Stalinism spurned racialism though, much like Mussolini's Fascism, and believed any human could become a Soviet Citizen and a patriot, just like Mussolini believed a man of any race could become a proud Italian and Fascist (See: Faccetta Nera). With nothing else to be proud of but their own labor and scientific achievements, that become "Russian Culture" for a long time. The fall of Communism meant long-suppressed Orthodoxy met with a strong revival, and now modern Russian Culture is comprised of a bizarre and surreal combination of Orthodoxy and Soviet Labor.

There's a Russian Orthodox Painting I feel illustrates this rather well. To the center, you have traditional Russian culture, the Orthodox Church, and all it represents. To the far right, you have the Communists, and their monuments to science, labor, and progress, along with the countless corpses required to build the system in the first place. From here, you can start to see how modern Russian Patriotism has formed, and also why so many Russians today are so depressed, and have turned to alcohol and drugs, mainly Krokodil, to dull their pain.

What's wrong with the movie?

I get that it is essentially a superhero movie, but it looks to have decent effects and all that.

So in other words the stupid fucking Russians still haven't figured out how to invent the concept of the individual. It all just one big egregore.

The CGI is awful. The plot is Avengers-tier, possibly even dumber. Plus they're trying to shoehorn in Soviet/Russian patriotic feelings in a superhero film. And the worst thing is that the trailer takes itself kind of seriously.

Superheroes are an American concept and property. Other countries can't do it justice. Italy tried to make a superhero film this year and it failed miserably. British attempts at superhero films/tv series also failed. And this flick doesn't look good at all. Bear-man is borderline parody.

Each country has its specialty regarding cinema. If you're a foreign director and you wish to make superhero films I suggest you pack your shit up and move to Hollywood, because any attempt to make a superhero film outside of America will fail.

A lot of movies try putting in some patriotic tones and the movie's CGI doesn't look half bad from what I can tell in the trailer. The effects aren't as nice as what you'd see in Hollywood, but it's still done pretty well.

I can't tell what the story will be like based on the trailer so I'm not sure the point in judging how the movie will be at this point.

Check the minigun scene in the thumbnail. It's like a videogame.

Humans are tribal animals. They're social animals. There is no such thing as "the individual". Your Liberal Arts professors lied to you. A human who turns on his tribe, on his own, is no longer human. Individualism is what has destroyed our societies and cultures, everyone is only out for themselves, and will screw over their own neighbor if it means either a quick profit or approval by an external tribe to feed their ego.

PURE KINO

What the fuck are you talking about? A tribe is made out of individuals. I am a individual, there is no-one who has quite the same life-experience and outlook on reality quite like mine. Just because I am a member of a tribe doesn't mean I am not a individual. And just because I am a individual doesn't mean I have any desire to turn on my tribe. I am a individual with my own desires, needs and goals, individualism doesn't mean I always just look out for myself.
