Make it influenced by film and western culture, have an artstyle similar to Vagabond or Jojo , and avoid everything Fairy Tail and anime similar to it do.

Why would I hate anime? Do you think people that post in Holla Forums genuinely like American shit? We come here to make fun of it.

Same person here, just to clarify i don't hate anime, I just wanted to post what anime I would make. I didn't read the "Hate anime" part.

I like to watch anime, i just don't like anime shitposters and moe fag. They degrade the value of all 2d animation.

Smug faces used to be funny and triggering but after gazillion low quality spam, i felt like they became the background nigger music in prison scene of hollywood movie.

This

Take out all those annoying exaggerated expressions and dialogue

considering you are proposing to throw away 98%of the runtime, what would you do with all the newfound time?

Those are already intrinsic to anime.

Make it feature an anime version of Orson Welles along with other Holla Forums characters

Go to Japan and fund this
NOW

Not as much as before.

We get an anime version of /bane/posting squad?

Hell yes

I want to make an anime where all the females are smart, have their shit mostly together, competent, and have big, bouncy, tits.

The one or two males have to be goofy, horny, teenage boys who trip over their own feet constantly, and can't do shit without the females..

..oh wait.

Anime has gotten more and more cinematic over time, and Western influences are intrinsic to anime because they are intrinsic to Japan as a whole.

That sounds more like Hollywood to me.

What do you have against girls being cute?

t. queer

So, basically, the opposite of modern anime.

...

What's wrong with occasional fanservice?

There's no reason for it. I get it if the premise of the show is to be as hedonistic as possible, but it spreads way beyond that.
Without trying to sound like a fedora, it's very immature and takes away from the seriousness of the show. The only purpose of fan-service is filler or to sell sex . Very degenerate.

...

It's ok for anime to be light hearted and fun sometimes.

This may surprise you, but there is more to character design than giving everyone unique faces.

How come nobody ever complains about sexual content in Western media?

It's specifically a strength of anime that the characters don't, most of the time, act exactly like real people. Not everything needs to be realistic, and being realistic isn't automatically a good thing or better than being unrealistic.

Anime is full of them.

This happens constantly.

You don't watch modern anime.

Stop putting words in my mouth. And you're thinking of the word 'serious' in the wrong way. Even an anime like K-on can be serious. But the moment the creators start taking advantage of the following the show has (Adding memes, sexualizing them, etc. ) you know they stopped taking themselves seriously and are just doing it for the money. Even if it means sacrificing a show with substance and standards for a show with no substance and fanservice all around.

Agreed with this. The fact that anime isn't like real life is one of the main reasons why I like it so much.

What about occasonal fanservice?

Sexuality in anime is not the big deal you think it is, and its inclusion does not necessarily or even likely have any relation to doing it for the money or taking advantage of something.

How were those not arguments?

*occasional

Again, I don't see the point of it in a grounded or down-to-earth anime. It's just a cheap way to get the viewer's attention, in some cases. A well-written anime wouldn't need to use fan service, especially not rely on it like most animes do.

A lot of people do. You're bullshitting out of your ass if you don't think this is true. People here do it, people on the news do it, etc. Usually you weebs use the following argument "If you don't like anime, then what would you rather watch? Honey boo-boo or family guy? LMAO!" It's cherrypicking at its finest.

I don't because it's shite. Besides the new Dragonball, SwordArt or Attack on Titan, the majority of anime is "Slice of Life" garbage. The kind of shit that was popularized by Lucky Star. Some user a while ago said that Slice of Life crap is the most popular anime watched in Japan. The kind they air on television. Don't question why Japan is becoming so feminized recently. You know the answer.

But it's not.

On 4/Holla Forums it's almost unheard of, whereas anime gets shit on non-stop for having even the mildest, most incidental references to the existence of human sexuality.

And how do you know it's shit? Because that's what you heard on the Internet or jumped to conclusions based on random, fragmentary and misinterpreted information.

Called it.

There's somewhere around 0-3 Lucky Star and K-On-like shows per season, out of 40-50 (full length) shows. This season the closest equivalent is New Game, a comedy about a game development studio. There are more shows about TIME TRAVEL this season (Orange, Re:Zero, Time Travel Shoujo).

Wow why can't I hold all this moeshit.

I'd love to see an anime that takes its cues from guro manga. Not one of the gonzo ones where it gets so ridiculous you can't take it seriously, either. I get that some anime can be violent, but that's not what I mean either. I want something that is legitimately hard to watch. Something that takes moeshit and just wrecks it.

Picture a weekly episodic series where we get a new female protagonist each week. We spend the first half of the episode getting to know her, her family, friends, what she excels at athletically and academically, her hopes and dreams. Or even exploring the absence of these things. The second half or the show would see her fall into unfortunate and fatal circumstances- maybe she gets abducted while walking home. Maybe she took a shortcut down the wrong alley. Maybe somebody crazy just broke into their house and tied up her parents to make them watch the murder of their daughter.

What follows are scenes of evisceration, torture and destruction. Limbs get broken and torn from their sockets. Eyeballs are made useless by thin needles. Organs get pulled from the screaming, protesting waifus. There's tears and snot and piss and crying for mother. Maybe the murderer pounds her face and skull to mush with a hammer, maybe he cuts her all over and leaves her to bleed out. Perhaps we have an entire episode devoted to a girl starving to death in a dingy basement. Another that plays relatively straight until she's incinerated alive during a car crash in the last five minutes.

Aw, man. I really wish this was a thing now.

Why does almost everyone here hate cute girls?

One that is not straight up pandering to it's own audience, unlike 99% of all anime.

We don't hate cute girls, we hate shows that are all only and nothing but cute girls, like it hasn't been done to death before, some of us don't fucking melt at the sight of anything slightly cute.

It would be more fiscally responsible for the production committee to take the budget and spend it on prostitutes and alcohol instead. You and the four other people who are into this shit do not an audience make. And of course it would have to be an OVA, which have almost stopped being made.

Maybe 'Slice of Life' weren't the words I was looking for, but that image just cements how anime is so similar to one another. As if rehashing plots wasn't enough, you also have the rehashing of art styles.

What a victim complex. Anime is never shit on here on Holla Forums nor was it ever shit on in 4chan. You know why? Because on 4chan, the mods banned you for publicly disliking an anime thread on a non-weeb board. Here on Holla Forums, you are the one that gets shit on if you disagree with the narrative that 'Japan can do now wrong'. Any abuse weebs get is rightly done. They're no different from bronies and furries.

Tranny-tier mental illness

If I had the chance, I would create a yuri anime that isn't yuribait escapism lewd porn trash for male audience like that fate anime or bland slice of life shit like yuru yuri and most yuri mangas written for female audience on yuri hime.

I want my yuri screenplay to not have a cliche setting and plot, but not beyond our suspension of disbelief. And I don't want that setting to be there just for aesthetic purposes. For example, a scifi setting, I want the anomaly to be the center of the story, but I don't want the story to revolve so much around the scientific explanations of the anomaly that it forgets that there are ordinary human characters living their lives in the show. I don't want a yuri that is full of symbolic hidden meanings and """"deep"""" imagery like madoka magicuck. I don't want rigid development of plot. I poetic links of sequences. I want the environment and natural occurences surrounding the characters to also become the main character of the film in a poetic sense. I want this film to be devoid of interpretation and intellectual explanations. I don't want any emotional manipulations, let the audience grow their own emotion based on the audio visual experience. It has to be a truthful, art yuri.

Mise en scene should be handled with extra attention. I don't want a mise en scene that only tells the purpose of the scene with little substance. For example, when two make love, I don't want it to be only a showcase that these two girls love each other, or a pornography. No, that's very cheap. I want to make the sun subtly descent into the horizon. Or maybe there should be a sound of drizzling rain and birds singing. Or maybe the rain is pouring and BWV 686 by Batch played by an electronic organ can faintly be heard. The color contrast would increase slowly and very subtly, from near black and white to a limpid colorful bliss. The camera then slowly pans and zoom into a shepherd painting by Jean Francois Millet, or The Angelus. Then the pans back into the two girls, together half naked, to imply but without explicitly showing sex. This is not a pornography, but a creation of life, an audio visual poem sculpted in time, the most truthful of art form.

Have you at least tried giving other non-SoL anime a chance? (I mean actually watching it)
I personally don't care if the art is similar, at least the characters and backgrounds are aesthetically pleasing.

It does no such thing. You are lying.

This is the most absurd thing I've read in weeks if not months, and a complete reversal of the truth. You are lying.

Yes, of course something must be bait just because YOU, the king of the world, don't like it.

Prove it.

i like yuri tho

This season's anime are self-evidently not the same.

4chan is absolutely filled to the brim with whining about sexuality in anime, and whining about anime in general. Weebs are to 4chan what jews are to Holla Forums. These proud traditions have carried over to Holla Forums because the userbase is the same.

Stop lying.

I would make a second season. NEVER EVER

Holla Forums is the most crypto jewish board ever.

Just try and shit on anime on Holla Forums or Holla Forums. You'll be flooded with smugposters/sages in seconds.

Yes. I can't remember much about it. I know there was this student (Go figure) who liked music a lot and his father owned a record store and then this popular cute girl falls for the nerdy awkward kid or something like that. I fell asleep on my keyboard watching it so I decided it was not the anime for me.

You are full of shit and everyone knows it. There's massive amounts of anti-anime and anti-anime sexuality posting on both chans.

You are just trying to avoid having to explain the double standard that Western media can get away with any kind of content while anime is savaged for even the smallest things.

I don't hate cute girls. I just prefer cute dead girls.

It's called Sankarea.

I do love that one, but it needs moar guro

The ending was really rushed. I remember reading through it and going

Wait, what?

They set everything up had all these plot threads then she does/n't eat him and he comes back later.

There was no resolution, no sense of completeness. Just that last chapter that didn't really answer anything.

lel

...

Examples?

It can be a state of being.
Anyway would you rather have 2D girls be ugly stronk womyn instead?

Nice mental gymnastics there.

Do you even like girls at all?
and I still don't see how moe "degrades the value of all 2d animation" Some cute girls show up and now all animation is ruined?

...

oh
cause you responded to my post responding to that anti-moe post so I thought you were the original poster of that.
nevermind

It's actually redundant to ask anime to take advantage of being anime.

Anime is very similar to live action, sometimes to the point that it will simulate the existence and properties of a film camera. But it's also different because it's animation and because it has developed its own distinct style that combines the sensibilities of cinema, animation, painting and manga. Surreal, abstract and painterly imagery is easier to do than in live action, comes more naturally for the creators, and blends in more seamlessly with everything else. The fact that everything is drawn, painted, rendered and composed of layers predisposes the creators to do different things than live action creators. Then there's more mundane stuff like characters deforming and having saucer eyes and whatnot. The fact that the characters are just characters and not played by actors is also very significant, and if you made Haruhi or Love Live with real actors it wouldn't be the same thing anymore.

The way 4kids did it, just produce shit for kids, while completely ignoring salty weeaboos every step of the way.

Why though

What mistakes?

Existing animus will not be ruined but it will prevents certain good anime being made in the future.

You see, anime (or any entertainment) is not made by some fairy that do it for free, animators need salary, they came from investors and investors often trust their market research team.

It's all just statistics, if the market shows the entire anime fanbase are shifting to louie ck tier cuckold, you bet there will be Somali niggers raming every single Yuru Yuri character against their original fanbase's will.

Look through the thread.
Someone points out what they would change and anime posters come to defend it even though it's clearly a mistake.

Anime is made first and foremost for Japan's domestic market and they are the ones who decided that anime should be more than children's entertainment, and that even the children's entertainment should be more complicated than what Americans think children's entertainment should be like. Weeaboos have no effect on anime, and probably didn't come into existence until the early 90s. They're also nearly non-existent, and 99,99% of the "weeaboos" people here shit their pants over are not actually weeaboos.

Anime is Japanese.

Meme.

Anime is made by production committees. A production committee is formed by several companies that have some vested interest in the anime, like publishers, production companies, television networks, streamers, record companies and merchandising companies, and perhaps the studio making the anime. The committee then makes joint decisions about the anime.

Committees are formed on an anime-by-anime basis, projects are developed quickly, shows only last 12-26 episodes, at least initially, and since everyone is sharing the production costs there is relatively little risk involved. I don't think there is much of a role for market research teams there (publishers and production companies probably perform general research). If you're adapting a manga or light novel (most anime are adaptations) because it's popular then your market research is already done. Judging by all the unusual anime the industry produces, they seem to just throw stuff at the wall and see what works, rather than meticulously research and test things like what seems to be the expected norm in America.

Also, creators typically hold the rights to their works in Japan. So if Yuru Yuri's artist doesn't want an anime where the characters are blacked up, then it won't happen.

What is clearly a mistake?

Just because you don't like something that doesn't mean it's a mistake.

...

Sex appeal is immature. Okay, faggot. You can go take the cock from your feminist mother of your children's strap-on now.

Nice feminist buzzword, mangina.

For those of you complaining about moeshit: Some people want to get away from some of the shit going on in their lives or in the world in general. They want to see something that will make them happy, something that's relaxing and heartwarming, and SoL/moeshit achieves this.
I think in moderate amounts (which is usually the case anyway, it's not as common as some people think it is) it's fine.
Here's another explanation about this I know it's fucking TvTropes but this specific page isn't too bad tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Iyashikei

That's what drugs are for though.

Will Orson be played by Norio Wakamoto?
