I'm not sure the people with the movie's studio quite realize that the clickbait media is using these casting decisions to antagonize audiences as they are. The people with Cisbusters seemed to get this, which led to them trying to do some damage control, but this progressive casting has been routine for years so it's probably not widely understood how the media is driving more people to hate the movies based on these moves.
