Well it's definitely a parody of capeshit to some extent and there is a scene with tentacle rape so you aren't far off. The point of the movie is to show exactly why becoming a vigilante "superhero" wouldn't be as glamorous as Hollywood makes it out to be, and the kind of person that would actually go out and do that would likely not be perfectly mentally healthy. It's one of my favorite movies of all time and I recommend it to most people as long as they have a stomach for gross shit.

Super was a shitty knockoff of the already shitty Kickass that was based on the already shitty graphic novel. The user here just likes it because it stars a cucked, autistic middle aged man. He defines his forever alone destiny.

If you watch "making of" Motion capture usually does a 3d scan of the original actors. Otherwise it looks weird due to scaling of the rigging model if overlayed with someone with the wrong build.

Have you read the Kick-Ass comics? Because it's full of shit. The Hit-Girl character is so overpowered without any explanation, that you can't take it seriously. The second series was okay-ish, but the third was a big pile of steaming bullshit. The only reason this was successful is because muh shocking violence, muh Mark Millar, and muh Chloefags.

As for the first movie, despite it's still full of bullshit, it's immensly entertaining, but it doesn't want to have deep meaning or even say anything. Super, on the other hand, says what this user pointed out , and it's much more realistical, even with the visions the main character sees.

The only relation between them is that they both were shown around the same time, and the main protagonist is an Average Joe who wants to become a real superhero. But just look at how Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks in KA, and how Rainn Wilson looks in Super. Which one of them is closer to a real dude, a real average person? Wilson, of course. And who is the more realistic, believable sidekick? Hit-Girl who is basically a murderous child Superman or Boltie, who is a half-crazy girl in a sexy costume? Boltie.

tl; dr: Super has nothing to do with Kick-Ass and is better in it's job

That panel is a reference to a scene in The Rocketeer where the mob leader realizes he's been working for Nazis, and says "I may be a criminal, but I'm an AMERICAN criminal!" and the entire mob switches sides.

And that scene was inspired by real life mob bosses like Capone volunteering to protect the docks in case of invasion.
