As long they arent romantic movies, the genre doesnt matter a lot. I just want to watch non-hollywood movies.

I assume you know who Tarkovsky is
if you think Russia is Europe that is

...

Europe ends at the eastern border of Poland

everything east of that is Slavshitistan

bruh, you're missing out

Watch everything Fellini, De Sica, Antonioni, Chabrol, Godard, Truffaut. Then you'll be unable to watch contemporary (cape)shit.

You are not underage, right?

buttblasted pole detected

You sound like someone who is over 60

poles are slavs, but they're not slavshits

big difference

you are all the same
stop lying to yourself and embrace who you are

you can usually find good suggestions at /film/ too

Probably my favourite war film.

It is a master piece. Have to watch it in the dark.

pic related too, good revenge story.

Also A Room For Romeo, another Considine movie and the first Warp Films feature. I'll watch basically anything with him in it.

Obligatory takashi miike kino

Gozu, while not really horror there is some suspense and it's the slowest boil to the end but I think it's one of my favorited kinos.

Another great kino, a little more violent but man it's great and has some necrophilia

Less on the horror more on the crime and drama. Makes Quentin Tarantino seem like an autistic nerd making a shitty high school film. This was also one of his directorial debuts

The bird people of China.
Brutal, spooky, practical effects to boot another great kino by the master, also one of his first.

This is hollywoods wet dream of crime kino. Rivalling the godfather in storytelling and style you won't beat this cream of the crop

Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders

c'mon guys, he's entry level so he needs entry level stuff, you can't start him up on high shit right away.

Good Polish movie :
With Fire and Sword, it's Kingdom of Heaven with Slavs and mustaches.
Ida, pretty good, about a nun who search her parent.
Knife in Water, comfy movie about a autistic man with a couple on a boat.

With Fire and Sword is Patrician. You can find it on youtube with subtitles for free

What a pleb list, if this wasn't made as a joke the creator should kill himself.

Have a better list, then?

Show it.

I don't get the passion some people have with old movies. Just the other week I watched Le Samourai and you could sum up the movie in two fucking sentences, don't you guys feel like that's a waste of time?

Mandatory mention for Chan-Wook Park's Vengeance Trilogy. Mr Vengeance is pretty good, but Oldboy is awesome and Lady Vengeance is great.

Hello, Holla Forums.

It's very spooky, and not in the usual Asian horror way.

I've seen it. It's kino.

Only God Forgives

It certainly is, just watching the opening you know you're in for some quality kino.

Speaking of Japanese spooky films, Kairo/Pulse is really good.

Kurosawa's Dreams has some of the most powerful segments I've ever seen in a film.
