Movie is trash and basically fantasy fairytale land. The low flying to avoid radar lock missiles and the bad guy doesnt have heatseekers ok. Planes have to fly below the SAMs but god forbid any tomahawks come in, the SAMs ignore those. Oh yeah lets sneak into a military base that we just bombed and got shot down near(whole base on alert searching for you).Aside from all that gay shit, they tried way too hard with the nostalgia play here. Put in as many references to the first movie as possible.3/10 will not watch again

I loathe this kind of nostalgiafest movie. The decrepit Tom Cruise serves only to illustrate the passing of the white race. Because that's what white people are, a bunch of angry old men who perhaps have some wisdom to share (Gran Torino), but are out of touch and need to make way for a brave new world of colored folks and open borders (Children of Men, Trainspotting 2). This plotline is generally subtle in the aforementioned but once you see it you'll see it everywhere, especially in movies which appeal to a right-wing audience, that's as pro-white as movies come. Who gives a shit about Tom Cruise today? It says a lot that there are practically no prominent young white actors, except for that faggy Chalamet.

It's more general war propaganda than anything given that it treats the opposing force as an adversary to be defeated honorably in battle rather than a moral evil to be purged by any means necessary. And even then the opposing force wasn't even the primary antagonist of the story so much as perfect execution of the mission plan was. I'm not going to bother to try to convince anyone if it's good or bad, but I will say it's fun.
