I wish someone would make a Trojan War movie that was more faithful to the original poem. I don't care if it would "look stupid." I want to see the Greek Gods fighting along side the armies.

It had great battle scenes and dialogue. You guyes need to lay off the soy milk and maybe you will enjoy manly movies

I know. That's why I want a movie that follows what happens in the poem. I want a proper adaptation of it. I want to see the gods get involved with the war and appear on the battle field. I want actual dialog lifted from the poem in it.

It's really no surprise that Troy didn't have that stuff. The guy who wrote it also co-created Game of Thrones and if you look at both of them you'll see a clear attempt to remove any sort of magic or mysticism or fantasy wherever possible
