Angel and nightcrawler get rebooted again

Look, I am not asking for much here. I don't care about SJW nonsense, but they could have given me at least ONE GOOD THING.

This is so disappointing.

Faggots BTFO

You realize that the whole x men comic books were just a metaphor for gay people, right?

What confused some readers as to why there would be such a big irratonial hatred for mutans in a world where superheroes exist, is because the "I was born this way" paralell to gay people.

Also an angel and the devil. Opposties attract. I would have liked to see it.

OP pls fuck off back to Tumblr

Please. I am not asking for much.

Bryan, please

It's true though. After watching the video of comic book girl 19, It really makes sense, if you think about it.

...

it's not bait, alright?

You're wasting the air you're breathing. Stop it.

Only according to Bryan Singer, a confirmed faggot who has put virtually every male actor in his films on the casting couch, who has managed to make five shitty X-Men movies, one shitty Superman movie, and a shitty movie about giants. A guy who has been named in an ongoing investigation for luring underage male teen actors to parties with promises of fame and fortune and then GANGRAPING THEM. Of course degenerate scum like that aging fag would try to turn what was previously a very profitable franchise into that.

I'm going to give you a timeline now, because more than your faggotry your blatant and overwhelming misunderstanding of the comics offends my spergier sensibilities.

-X-Men as originally created as a copycat of Doom Patrol, another team of teens hated and feared being lead by a man in a wheelchair. It was also meant to be an inverse of their other big hit at the time Fantastic Four, with Ice Man being the opposite of the Human Torch, Beast being the opposite of The Thing (because he was also a brilliant scientist) and Cyclops being an opposite to Mr. Fantastic as Cyclops is a brilliant leader with no self esteem. That's all it was originally. The mutant thing was a brilliant idea on Stan Lee's part to avoid having to come up with origin stories anymore.

-Then in the 70's they tried to make it more directly about race. This is where we get all those panels of stuff like Kitty Pryde saying "Are you a nigger?" and the "Mutie" slur starts showing up.

-For a brief period in the 80's and 90's things were more hopeful, in part because of Ronald Reagan (there's even page where Rogue kisses his window on Air Force One) so the anti-mutant stuff was portrayed as mostly being limited to terrorist groups. It was being portrayed as such a distant idea they actually created Genosha as if to say "bad stuff is happening to mutants- OVER THERE."

-Then the 2000's came, and agenda-driven writers came right back. Grant Morrison added his take with mixed results. He felt mutants weren't ugly enough, so he added a bunch of students like Beak and Glob Herman to explain humans hating mutants. He stated in a press conference with Stan Lee that he felt the X-Men was about the changing generation. Mutants are the new, young generation, humans are the adults afraid of them. Stan Lee threw up his hands and said "Don't look at me, your guess is as good as mine."

-Because of Bryan Singer and the movies, the gay thing became the theme for a while, with the team even relocating to San Francisco.

-However, most recently, and especially with the Utopia storyline mutants became a metaphor for -wait for it- …ISRAEL and in some cases, Muslims. The Utopia plot had them building a floating city and declaring themselves a sovereign nation and then fighting everyone who dare attack them.

-However, since the fall out with Fox, they've currently become a metaphor for "help, our books suck and we're all being killed off and cancelled! This is bullshit! And the characters they want to keep around are being re-written as Inhumans!"

Okay. But it made sense to me tbh.

Why else would people be so irrational and love superheroes, but hate mutants?

I mean can that Bryan Singer guy with all his SJW bullshit do at least one good thing? =/

thanks for that btw

Making straight characters gay to appease your disgusting homolust is not a good thing.

Also, link to that video. If it's really a whole video where she's just outlining why she believes the X-Men are purely a metaphor for sodomites, I feel compelled to make a reply video.

are you a youtuber?

Oh come on, it doesn't even have to be big part of a story.

I just can't help myself, but self-insert myself as either nightcrawler or angel. It's always those two I like the most.

Say anything more about sodomites and I will open a twitter account and spam every writer and the 2 actors who play them with requests of making nightcrawler and angel lovers, so you better watch yourself.

Can you share your youtube channel please?

No it wasn't. They were about two months apart. Stan didn't have the lead time necessary to rip-off Doom Patrol. Arnold Drake said that he did anyway but I suspect he was merely butthurt that X-Men ended up being more popular.

And Doom Patrol was a rip of Fantastic Four anyway.

Eh, it's like the Swamp-Thing vs Man-Thing argument. The formulas were too similar for that not to be the case, and the characters being inverses of the Fantastic Four comes from an interview I saw Stan Lee give, I think it was on an X-Men vhs tape.

Maybe.

Changing the characters and story around is a big part of why I hate the X-Men movies. Well, that and the writing being shit, and the make up and costumes being fucking awful.

First off, why not just make new characters or use some existing gay ones? If you want gay romance in X-Men so bad, there's been like six gay mutants at least. Northstar, Anole, Vivisector, Phat, Greymalkin and… I always forget her name, the Vietnamese mind controller from New Mutants, she was a lesbian. Mystique also had a relationship with Destiny, though while people like to portray it as a lesbian relationship, she had shapeshifted into a man when they fell in love, and the relationship was platonic when the knew eachother years later.

Instead of pushing to re-write existing character's sexuality demonstrating profound hypocrisy on your part that you think such a thing can be changed on a whim, why don't you go read up on Anole? He was genuinely a pretty good character with some really interesting abilities that made sense, and him being gay was just a character trait that only ever came up when the subject was specifically being discussed. Although recently they had a plot about him dating a guy online, where before he was mostly just being a bro with Rockslide.

He has lizard powers, basically. He has a long stretchy tongue, he can stick to walls, has enhanced agility, he can become invisible using camo (and sometimes he becomes invisible without realizing it when he feels shy) and he has regeneration. This was discovered when his right arm was cut off, and grew back bigger and with super strength. You're welcome. Go read up, you'll like it.

Now stay the fuck away from established character sexualities, buggerer.

I don't care about gay representation in any medium. I don't care about any other characters, be they trans, gay, bi or whatever.

I just want them two.

They can always be secretly bisexual tbh. So you don't take their liking for women away.

Or you just make their love for each other the exception. Like they are normally not gay, but only for each other?

He has lizard powers, basically. Okay you got me with this one. That actually sounds pretty awesome.

Thank you, whoever you are, now I go read up on Anole. He sounds like my type of character.

Btw I am watching X-Men Apocalypse during this.

The "sweet memes are made of this" sequence didn't disappoint.

Isn't one or both of those characters hardcore Christians?
PROBLEMATIC

I think in the movies he doesn't have that background of catholic monk, because he is so young.

They probably make him just spritually christian without any problematic thoughts like homophobia or something like that.

Tbh Nightcrawler being any kind of racist or hater would be very weird.

Do you know anything about this? I can't imagine Nightcrawler hating on everybody, because he looks like a demon and was bullied hard because of it.

*anybody

I sort of do want to make that nightcrawler choke on my dick tbh. Never read or watched anything XXX-men though.

Mate, how about you just go watch some gay porn and jerk off. Leave please.

UR A FAGET NIGGER

Oh, how very eloquent your posts are.

He looks like a girl, how is that gay?

I apologize, gentilesir, for my lack of adept locution. I shall endeavor to engender an atmosphere of enlightened sophistication as befitting our superior ilk.
*tips fedora

Well, since you brought it up…

Nightcrawler isn't just slightly religious in the comics, he's an ordained Catholic priest. When everyone around him was chasing him with pitchforks trying to murder him, the church took him in. The church and the circus.

At one point he actually dies and goes to heaven, and the way he's brought back to life is pretty beautiful. He's up there in paradise when he discovers a demon plans to destroy the X-Men, and only he knows. He asks god for permission, and takes a leap of faith. He leaves paradise to help humanity.

Even the previous movie version of him carried a rosary.

I hate the Ultimate line, but it actually specifically touches on this. They made Colossus gay in the Ultimate line. They then re-write Nightcrawler as going insane and becoming a villain partially due to shock from hearing this. He tells Colossus he's going to burn in hell for being a faggot.

I suppose that's what he'd tell you if he saw this thread, faggot.

Doesn't have to be gay, but then you are bi.

Oh, and I forgot the example.

But you see, in that situation Gerry Conway (one of the creators of Man-Thing) and Len Wein (creator of Swamp Thing) were actually room-mates, Man-Thing was a year-and-a-half before Swamp Thing and there was clear cross pollination.

In the case of Doom Patrol/X-Men, they're only broadly similar concepts (A team of freaks led by a smart guy in a wheelchair), published only a few months apart and written by two different people working for two different companies who most likely had nothing to do with each other, at least, not at the time.

Played by this faggot glorifying degenerate Weimar Germany in pic related.

Wow, he surely got triggered as fuck. lol

I can at least dream, user.

Can you tell me more trivia about Angel, lore user?

Eh, I always wanted to like him, but it always seemed like they didn't know what to do with him. His plot takes a lot of depressing twists. Every time they do something cool with him something shit happens.

-Billionaire playboy. Initially he was going to end up with Jean, but she read Cyclops's mind and discovered he was truly in love with her but keeping it from her, so she fell for him instead.

-He joined a few minor teams aside from the X-Men, notably The Champions and The Defenders, but never got that popular.

-Callisto of the Morlocks kidnaps, rapes and crucifies him. His ruined wings are amputated, and he sinks into a horrible depression.

-Apocalypse offers to restore his wings and makes him Archangel, the Angel of Death and for the first time the character becomes interesting and kind of popular. As you know he gets metal wings which allow him to fly even in space and shoot metal feather blades. In the comics this turns his skin blue, they likely cut this from the new movie because there were already three blue-skinned characters running around.

-When he becomes good again, he starts a long-term relationship with Psylocke, which continues for many years. They had a short-lived comic together at one point, they made a cute couple. Eventually they start undoing the Apocalypse stuff. His wings molt and just magically turn back to normal. Later a fight with Black Tom Cassidy turns his skin back to normal.

-Somewhat before this Psylocke dumps him. After becoming normal he discovers his blood heals people. This is one of the worst written arcs in X-Men in general, though. It's the arc that introduces Nightcrawler's father as that red demon I'm sure you recall from First Class. Among other things it establishes Nightcrawler as not just a mutant, but a demonic sub-species of mutant, with Angel from an angelic sub-species of mutant, and it turns out his blood is toxic to Nightcrawler. It was dumb.

-Later in the most critically acclaimed run of X-Force anti-mutant groups experiment on the nanites which turned Angel into Archangel, and through a painful process his wings go metal and his skin goes blue again. He becomes evil and becomes the book's main antagonist, eventually traveling to the Age of Apocalypse and attempting both to bring Apocalypse back to life and to *become* Apocalypse. During this run he was powerful enough to defeat the entire team of X-Force as well as AoA's version of the Phoenix by himself.

-In the end (an ending I still fucking hate) Angel is killed, but the "life seed" causes a new entity with no memory to take over his body. He has regular skin and metal wings, and now has healing powers strong enough to revive the dead, but he's not Angel.

Could you please provide more information on that? When did the fallout occur and why?

Interesting. Makes them even more alike.

That's an interesting way to basically quasi-retcon the character.

I always looked at angel in the movie as a self-insert if anything.
I am often more interested in day-dreaming about what I would do as a mutant and character in the x-men, then the actual plot of the xmen movies and comics.

I am sure that this is why the harry potter books and movies became so popular. It was so popular, because children all over the world imagined themselves as wizards.

wasn't this around the time they tried to make wolverine part of a different species that evolved from wolves instead of apes?

Really?

They tried to justify it as side along evolution, like how some species who lived on other sides of the world still evolved into looking kinda similar.

They retconned it to being just a trick to confuse wolverine for reasons

Their relationship was always strained. Basically Fox has just done whatever they want against Marvel's wishes again and again.

Marvel wants the rights to all it's properties back. Currently there are four properties left they don't have the rights back to, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Namor's a tricky situation apparently, and despite appearing in the Avengers movies Hulk apparently has a rights issue that prevents him from appearing in any solo movies. This is why some believe they're adapting the Planet Hulk storyline into the new Thor movie.

One of the other properties Fox has the rights to was Daredevil. Daredevil and Elektra were both extremely poorly received, so they thought the properties weren't profitable and let the rights revert back to Marvel. Marvel put out the critically acclaimed Daredevil netflix series, which both angered and humiliated Fox. The studios also had disagreements over Fantastic Four.

Then Fox hired Mark Millar as their adviser. Millar crafted the Ultimate line, and is basically a big sociopathic asshole and kind of made himself persona non grata at Marvel, so hiring him was sort of a way to give them the finger.

Things broke out into open conflict over two characters that belonged to both franchises, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. When Marvel announced plans to feature them in Avengers 2, Fox quickly altered Days of Future Past to include Quicksilver, and a legal battle ensued.

See, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are both Magneto's kids. They premiered in X-Men early on as villains and founding members of his brotherhood of evil mutants. However, they weren't hugely popular then. They join a new team of Avengers comprised of the two of them, Captain America and Hawkeye. Becoming Avengers and being written heroically dramatically increased their popularity, and generally they've spent more time as Avengers than X-Men. However, Quicksilver had his own comic for a while, and he did rejoin the X-Men books in the 90's when he became part of X-Factor.

You can see the way the custody dispute was settled on screen. They decided they'd each get one character. Quicksilver appears in Avengers 2 but dies. Scarlet Witch stays with Marvel, Quicksilver stays with Fox.

Marvel decided a few years back it would no longer promote either of those properties. They cancelled Fantastic Four and shuffled the characters into other books, even having the cast of the movie killed in one of the comics to give Fox the finger back. The X-Men's treatment was even worse. Many of the books were cancelled despite them being their best sellers. The plots got worse and worse. Eventually they decided to just flat out replace mutants with the Inhumans, another team of heroes who has existed for quite a long time. They're born basically human, but there are these mists they have which if exposed to will cause you to mutate. They write a plot about the mist being released all over Earth and creating thousands of new Inhumans. Simultaneously the mist (and this makes especially little sense given Quicksilver's previous use of it, not to mention having a daughter with an Inhuman) poisons Mutants and renders them infertile.

It happened with the Neanderthals in real life.
Btw my own personal theory about the Neanderthals is that there was too much fucking going on between them and homo sapiens for them to remain a seperate race.

Maybe they even took homo sapiens as sex slaves and they fucked them so hard that each new generation became less neanderthalian.

Wow. That is quite some hatred they have for each other. It even seems to be personal.

Can you talk about some shadowy, thievy-type characters from the xmen or marvel, lore user?

What about the one with Norton and Stark appearing at the end? The legal issues appeared after?

I am not 100% sure, but I think there was a bit of legal controvery surrounding that.

That was made with Universal, that's who the rights issue is with, apparently. A solo Hulk movie would have to be made through them, but they're free to have the character guest star in other films.

...

not user, but the most popular thief would have been Gambit I believe.

But it kind of utterly fucked up the universe's lore. Is it common knowledge amongst Marvelverse citizens that Spider-Man was bitten by a radioactive spider rather than was born with his powers? Or that Banner was hit with gamma radiation rather than was just a mutant? Namor was born as a fishman with silly ankle wings; surely he's a mutant? Why do people buy Thor and Hercules as divine beings rather than as strong mutants? And do people really buy that the Fantastic Four got their powers from a meteor shower rather than were just concealing them like millions of other mutants?

Yes
Yes
Seeing as it's publicly documented, yes

How is that villainous? He's looking out for his friend's immortal soul.

It was also publicly documented that the Orlando fag ragtag shooter was in no way inspired by Islam. Doesn't mean anyone with common sense doesn't see through the narrative.

He also joined up with his father who was a demon and acted like it.

Are you really trying to argue that people would honestly believe Ben Grimm was always a rock monster and was just hiding it before?

Spiderman has given multiple interviews about this +/- his civil war reveal

usually on all the news cycle about a gamma monster

You are being sarcastic, right?

Just because he was self-hating, homophobic faggot, doesn't mean that his preaching father who daily reminded him of how gays burn in hell didn't play a role in that.
Islam doesn't belong to the west.

hiro mashima from Fairy tail? That art looks pretty shit compared to his usual shit

The comics were about niggers, actually.

Loreanon says it was both and I believe him.

It was neither. The civil rights analogy stuff didn't really come into it until Claremont did his soft reboot.

Weren't the mutants always hated by the plebs? I mean you have a solid metaphor for every irrational hatred in real life for minorities, like gays for example.

Well, in a general sense a quirk about the X-Men is that nearly every member of the team either started as a villain and later reformed or had at least one arc where they became a villain.

As for thief types, there are plenty of X-Men that were bounty hunters, assassins, adventurers or spies, but only a couple thieves come to mind.

First is Madrox, but he's barely a thief, it's just there's so many of him that have learned so many different skills, and it helps with his main aim of being a detective, so he's done a bit of thieving and breaking and entry. He's Multiple Man, can create endless copies of himself.

Second is Vanisher, he was one of X-Men's very first villains, but his design was terrible so he was never popular. He's sort of a teleporter, though the effect often looks more like he's using portals. His ability is powered via Darkforce. He uses his ability to steal shit all over the world, as his teleportation range extends across the planet. X-Force blackmails him into joining by convincing him they've given him a brain tumor and will only remove it if he helps them, so he teleports the team around, but frequently abandons them in the middle of battle as he doesn't want to be there. X-23 routinely tortures and mutilates him, Elixir then heals him. He has a brief redemption moment in the Necrosha storyline when Elixir reveals to him the tumor was never real and he's free to run away like he always does, but he opts to stay and help them in the fight, taking out the evil version of Blink.

Then there's Gambit. They planned for him to be the new Wolverine in the movies, but the reaction to who was cast to play him was overwhelmingly negative. I can't recall his name. The big dopey looking guy with the big monkey lips that was in Magic Mike. There was a version of him in the Wolverine: Origins film.

He has the power to psionically charge any object rendering it explosive. He could do this with any object, but he favored carrying a staff and throwing playing cards. He also has the power to "charm" people through unexplained means and super human agility. He was raised by the Thieve's Guild in Louisiana and has a thick cajun accent. He's a master thief. It's revealed in his solo comic that he was actually created by Mr. Sinister, as a semi-clone. Sinister was obsessed with Cyclops as in the comics he's weak to Cyclops's optic blasts, and they're also what kill Apocalypse, so he created a new body for himself combining Cyclops's dna and his own, Gambit was the result, however before he could take over his body he was taken and raised by the thieves. It's also revealed that Sinister removed a piece of his brain to limit the extent of his powers. With the piece put back in his powers begin to magnify exponentially, first expressing as him being able to make anything explode just by looking at it, eventually expanding to the point that he can become a being of pure explosive psionic energy.

But they were hated sort of like how circus freaks are hated.

It wasn't until Claremont came in that they really played up the racial prejudice angle

See:

Slight correction, I meant to say he kinetically charges the cards, not psionically. Those are the two terms used to explain 90% of the X-Men's energy related powers.

>>>/oven/

I completly missed that.

I am not a comic book fan, he striked me as sort of "meh" in the movies.

Sounds cool, but I can't imagine him lasting long in that form.

Any characters that have power like invisibility? Anole seems like the perfect type to bring for mission which require stealth. Can you talk more about him please?

I just thought this video was relevant.

I haven't watched it yet, so don't crucify me, if it's bad, but it has been some time since they did a video.

youtube.com/watch?v=z3crNXN8u94

they really tried to make him the new thing fangirls fawn over, which is loki now. But they cast some model as it, was the guy from John Carter Mars failure and Battleship.

Go into the whole relationship with Rogue and how mystique fucked it.

I hate how marvel cannot into good villains.

They are all psychopathic assholes with their stupid pompeous monolouges, that might as well come straight from a parody version of themselves.

Loki is the only memorable villain. Everyone else is just standard asshole mc evil.
Even Loki is guilty of a lot of overused tropes, but at least he IS FUNNY.

Do you remember guardians of the galaxy? Good movie for capeshit, but the villain was painfully dry and serious. He didn't fit into the movie at all.

I don't know what it is, that makes marvel think what passes as a parody of a villain is acceptable in their movies.

...

Already saw it on Holla Forums mate.

I'm just saying, Marvel is so far up their own ass they don't even realize when their strawmen start making sense.

They fell into the trap of having to make him evil though.

yeah, so just so you know that he is evil

The problem I have with superheroes is:
tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VillainsActHeroesReact

If I had superpowers, I would definetly not stand for the status quo, but superheroes seem to love the current status of the world, which makes them naively stupid in my eyes.
The only way the writers can make the dumb hero at least the good guy again is to have his antagonist kill some innocents and be a completly unnecessary edgelord.

He's both trying to emulate western style, and also, he drawing guys rather than tits - I mean, women.

It might be Disney? Bad guys always just have to be a bad guy because evil hur hur.

Tennant's Purple Man was fantastic in an otherwise shit show though.

Ward from AoS I do enjoy as an asshole though.

I stopped watching AoS shortly after "main character" (forgot the name, it's probably a stripper name like Hope or Destiny IIRC) met her dad.

Don't know anything about that. Might be worth a watch, I guess?

His ironman is fucking atrocious though and the proportions are all off. I thought he knew how to do armor off Erza but his Ironman is just entirely smooth. The perspective on his back arm is fucked too, same with the hand Capt is holding his shield.

We see it in his comic as he's sent to another universe to defeat a version of himself who never had the brain chunk removed, and thus used his omega-level powers to take over/destroy the world. He was called "New Son" I think.

Quite a few with teleportation or phasing. There is this one girl Cipher (not to be confused with Cypher) but her design was boring and her powers didn't really have a theme. She was just a generic-looking black girl. She could fly, phase, become invisible and generate electiricity. There was also Forget-Me-Not, a dumb idea, but his power makes it so whoever looks at him forgets him after turning away. The joke was that he'd been a secret member of the X-Men helping them out for years, and explaining away certain plotholes.

I forgot to mention Fantomex, he described himself as a "super-thief". He had some stealth abilities, but he's a Grant Morrison character so it's hard to explain. Basically he could make you see what he wanted you to see, and everything was misdirection with him. He was pretty popular for a while, but then they have him start a relationship with Psylocke in X-Force, then kill him off and bring back a female version of him, then continue the relationship anyway.

I said most of it in that other post. Originally Marvel intended his story to be that he was accepted by his friends and family for being a mutant, but when he reveals he's gay everyone rejects him, so he commits suicide. However, he proved to be very popular so that was scrapped and they went the opposite route with him saying he was always accepted for being gay as well as a mutant, but is insecure about his reptillian appearance.

He considers Northstar a mentor, mostly because he's gay. I never cared for Northstar. He meets Greymalkin, a closeted mutant, but they don't remain in contact for long.

By far the most interesting of his relationships was with Rockslide. Rockslide is straight, but kind of childish, innocent and cheerful despite his situation. Initially it was believed his skin was covered with rocks like The Thing, but eventually they realize the reason he's able to fire off his arms like rockets and then summon back the rocks is because he has no physical body. His physical body is just composed of whatever rocks are around him. When they go to Limbo for instance he puts himself back together with fiery, demonic brimstone rocks from there.

Anyway Anole initially hates him but they become best friends quickly as Rockslide drags him along on his adventures. He also offered to tear off his other limbs so they'd grow back super strong like his arm did. Anole declined.

Oh, I'm reminded. You'd probably like Daken. Personally I despised the faggot. Basically it's revealed Wolverine has a ton of illegitimate kids all over the world. He realizes this after unknowingly killing a gang comprised entirely of his bastards.

Daken is his half-Japanese son who sports a mohawk and is bisexual, although one of the main writers for him explained "he's not really straight, gay or bisexual, he's a sociopath and just sees people as tools to use." He has Wolverine's claws and regeneration, but for some reason his claws come out differently. Two on top of his hand, one out of the bottom of his forearm. Additionally he possesses pheromone powers that allow him to seduce people. He makes a lot of sexual remarks towards men to make them uncomfortable and angry with him in battle.

The Secretary General admitted that Obama told her to instruct the FBI to omit all references to Islam from the public release of his 911 call.

I missed when Marvel cared about the other Xmen outside the core team.

Oh no.

Look at this triggered nigger.

I'll never get over the thought process they must have gone through to create her.

Definitely agree though, New X-Men had a ton of characters I liked. Surge, Rockslide, Anole, Mercury, even Pixie.

The problem is they don't want to give Fox any new characters they can use in future movies, so they're just writing the existing characters differently now.

Is she actually muslim or just arab?

Arabs are Muslims! Fuckin' racist!

muslim

I am 5% triggered by that.
I don't hate her, just so you know, but a close family member of mine has a pious muslim gf.

She prays every day and she asked me hypothetically (referencing her situation with her bf) if I myself would convert if I had a muslim girlfriend.

She's not my type and I won't sexualize her, because family, dude.

to be fair though being in a desert the control over sand basically makes her a god. She stripped the taliban to bare bones.

remember Hope? The mutant messiah that was going to make Mutants great again? Whatever happened to her?

I actually liked Quentin the asshole too

Fox wouldn't give the rights back. Also she was a stupid idea. I did like her interactions with Spider Man though.

I rather liked her Peter Petrelli powers. Turning her into yet another phoenix though was dumb though.

Spiderman does great in mentor roles, he has been through alot. However they keep seeming want to turn the clock back on him.

No it was a parallell to the jewish-people you moron.

Stan Lee in the heart of hearts is a kike. And kikes gonna kike.

Holla Forums remains retarded. I am shocked I tell you, shocked.

I was asleep, what questions did I miss? Also, do you have a link to that video you spoke of? I have to watch it if I'm to reply to it.

But I don't want to get you into trouble for homophobic views, loreanon. I am okay with it, but others might not be. :^)

I am not 100% sure, but this is probably the video I was talking about. It's too long, so I am not going to rewatch it to confirm. But It should be it.

youtube.com/watch?v=BvWDjHWgNgc&list=PLHZDkFt4F9fOzsRJwYaemEzUs4x8-Llyp&index=1

I want to see your video reply to this though. Where can I subscribe?

...

loreanon?

Alright, two thing. First, nothing in the reply would be homophobie, no more than what I've written here already, anyway. I'd simply point out the history, how it's been used for everything over the years and can represent anything.

In fact, I once devised a story on Holla Forums where the mutants represented everyone targeted by SJWs, and the terrorist groups as SJWs. Mutant powers could be seen as a form of "privilege". They were born with it, they can't help it. Picture a rainbow-haired tumblrite -similar to comicbookgirl19 if that helps- lecturing a group of mutants about how they must be discriminated against in schools and the job market because their powers give them an unfair advantage, and so they must submit to allowing themselves to be mutilated to make them weaker than everyone else. Then imagine her lecturing them on the evil things they've done, and a young mutant tied to a chair responding "Wait a minute, what you're describing was done by Magneto, decades ago! I don't have anything to do with him, I've never even met him! And it's not like the only super villains on Earth are mutants, plenty of non-mutants have committed all sorts of atrocities!" "We're not here to talk about those crimes, we're here to talk about the crimes of YOUR race! Why should mutants be entitled to any homeland of their own? You have to answer for the collective crimes of your people!" Of course, I never went anywhere with it because fan fiction is for fat autistic girls.

Second, I'd like you to watch a few things for me. First, you see this video I've embedded? It's a spiffy documentary made by homosexuals about their wonderful, aristocratic brethren. Please watch it. It's called The Gift.

Once that's done with, I'd like very much for you to start watching some of the podcasts on this channel: youtube.com/channel/UCb9NIDFFW4KOqc6hGBnFBhg

I'm sure it'll have a positive effect on your outlook.

I hope you know that I was just joking.

And yeah, unfortunetly I know about bugchasing, I first heard it on Holla Forums somewhere. It's pretty fucking disgusting.

>youtube.com/channel/UCb9NIDFFW4KOqc6hGBnFBhg
I prefer to not be reminded daily about all the ugly facettes of the most degenerate scum of society, thank you very much.
This is why I don't watch mainstream tv anymore. It's similar to how people watch reality tv to laugh about the absolute lowest people in society. It not only is a waste of time, but also bad for you yourself.

>youtube.com/watch?v=eWIukTZ7jd4
I just watched the first few seconds of that video and I already feel like puking. Why do you punish yourself watching that video?

That sound cool, can I have a link?

Also can we go back to talking about X-Men?

More or less.

Keeps me honest. Honestly, I'm much too tolerant for my own good. I have gay friends, I accept them in a lot of media where I probably shouldn't. Stuff like that to me is basically ammo. When someone says "What's the harm?" beyond the statistics of suicide, domestic violence and child abuse they don't like to tell people about, it's nice to have some concrete, irrefutable anecdotes to share, like that lesbian couple in the UK the courts awarded custody of three boys to just because the mother was female. Despite the new girlfriend having extreme, vocal hatred of men and the three boys subsequently being subjected to years of starvation and torture it only ever being found out when one of them died.

But hey, yeah let's get back to the previous topic. Why *NOT* make straight characters gay or secretly bi, it turns you on so it must be good. This is definitely something that should be promoted.

According to IMDB a solo Cyclops movie is in the works, but I wouldn't hold my breath that they actually make that, and I'm sure I'd hate whatever they created if they did.

That does sound boring. X-Men is just no the same if it's just about one character.
It's the companionship, the in-group dynamic, the frienships and of course the School, which scenes were always pretty comfy to watch.

Honestly, I would be fine if they were just really close friends or just appeared as very close friends. No gay sex or kissing on screen, just some hugging or otherwise physical closeness. Like them both sleeping on a couch and not getting bothered by the fact that they are sleeping cuddled together or using their wings/tail to share some other displays of affection.

I would actually prefer that ambiguity to any kind of explicit and obnoxious social statement in movies about gay couples.

the feels when typing this out

Reaction image gold right there.

what did he mean by this?

Done right, a movie focusing on Cyclops would be great. He is supposed to be the actual leader and main character, afterall. You'd need a really smart writer to pull it off, though. Cyclops is supposed to be a Batman-level planner and tactician who comes up with brilliant military strategies and has genius-level spacial IQ -which is how he can ricochet his shots perfectly.

The problem is most of his solo storylines sucked in the comics, he does work best as a leader, and all of the good solo stories wouldn't work in the movies because they've fucked the related characters.

He has a solo story where he has to defeat The Juggernaut and Black Tom Cassidy by himself. He does a backflip and calculates a perfect shot to blow up a car next to Cassidy, knocking him unconscious and sending Juggs into a blind rage. Juggs then chases him onto open ice (they were in Alaska) and Cyke simply shoots it out from under him, sending him below into the freezing depths.

That wouldn't work in a film because they felt the audiences were too dumb to understand Juggernaut getting powers from a mystical source. In the comics he can get away with doing that because Juggernaut would survive that. In the movie canon, he's just a super strong mutant, so he'd drown.

His origin story has some interesting beats too. Parents abducted by aliens during a plane flight, forced out in a parachute with his little brother, parachute catches fire, has to slow their fall with his optic blasts which gives him the head injury which prevents him from shutting them off. Goes to an orphanage where he's separated from his younger, cuter brother who is quickly adopted (another plot point completely fucked because the films decided to make Havok older than Cyclops for no sensible reason) then passed from abusive foster home to abusive foster home where he was used to commit crimes. Then he hears a psychic voice in his head telling him he's meant for better things and runs away from his foster home. This plot point here could be especially good, because the reader is lead to believe it's Xavier, but it turns out to be Jack Winters, another mutant who then forces him to commit more crime until Xavier actually does show up.

I always imagined a movie about his origin would have a little montage of him making money in 80's arcades hustling people at stuff like air hockey, skee ball and the claw machine with his spacial geometry ability.

There's a pretty neat story about him crashing into Australia with a bunch of Magneto's acolytes, whipping them into a team and leading them through the desert to safety.

In the process of looking up a picture from that last comic I found this "cyclops feats" image someone made and it was… just dreadful. Broken english, one long line down. Initially I thought "fuck it" and was going to post it as is, but when I went to post it I got an error message informing me it was too big (it was 11k pixel in length.) So, since I was going to have to edit it anyway I figured I'd fix it up. The formatting is still terrible, but it paints a more complete picture of why he's awesome. Also I wasted a ridiculous amount of time editing it, and once I was done it was 13.4mb, so I had to go back and find a compressor that wouldn't destroy the quality too much.

This somewhat sums up why he's my favorite character. Period. In general.

Thanks for taking the time editing the picture, I really do appreciate it.
I enjoyed reading through it.

There are a few things I noticed:

What did he mean by this? I presume to not kill them, right?

And I do enjoy superheroes who rather than react do something proactively, like he does with using his powers to prevent earthquakes and build rivers.

Also your collection reminded me that if it's one thing I'd like to see more of is actually the writers to put some thought into very elaborate and complicated battle/conspiracy setups involving the use of psychics to mindread and communicate with each other, like he does to warn and keep a failsave, when beating up his whole team.

I think this would not only be cool and funny to watch, but also clever.

His blast at times seems to just push people away sometimes, instead of burning or injuring them. Can he control that?

Do you have any hope that the young cyclops we have in the movies now is going to fare well in a solo movie?

Btw what he pulls off in the middle of the image with his spacial forethought is quite amazing and is a superpower in itself.

I SAY IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN, I SAY IT SO MUCH AND IT'S SO TRUE

>>>/gaschamber/

Yeah. See, the Phoenix Force made everyone revert to their baser urges. Magik was an evil villain, both Namor and Emma are reformed ego-maniacal villains, and Colossus had just been possessed by a demonic form of Cytorrak and had his head screwed with by Magik, so they all did villainous things. Cyclops became obsessed with solving every problem on the planet. He turned the US into a futuristic utopia and set about solving every problem he could think of and defeating every villain he could.

This is due to what may or may not be a retcon. Technically, cyclops's Optic Blasts should not produce heat. The earliest specific explanation we got is that his optic blasts produce pure kinetic force, which is why people always say he shoots punches from his eyes.

However, there are cases before this was stated where characters specifically say his blast is burning them, in particular a page where Colossus claims it's going to "melt his metal skin right off". There's also a panel where he creates a fine beam which punches a hole through Blob's shoulder, and smoke is shown rising off of it. I think they specified this to differentiate the power from Heat Vision.

No.

Oh, we're talking about the movies. Still no. I haven't liked any of the X-Men movies, aside from Deadpool, and even that one I only "liked" in so much as I enjoyed how accurate it was to the comics.

Why couldn't you get killed in Orlando faggot

You are a cucked normalfag I am shocked I tell you, shocked.

Shit parallel. Niggers can't hide their niggerdom; most mutants can.

Maybe like comparable to a really powerful water stream, stronger than the real ones?

Muh nigga.

Althought I kinda like the earlier ones, but that could also be because I was young when they first came out. I rewatched the first X Men recently and there were some cringe moments.

>anecdote.com/2007/10/the-billiard-ball-example/

That example is neat, and fittingly enough, he has done that.

...

...

I've always saw it as a metaphor for Jewish

You are going to trigger Holla Forums even more now, user.

I wonder if we will ever see such a display of geometric planning in the movies.

Maybe the audience won't get it and will just think it's corny? So you gotta get it just right.

loreanon? you made that video response to pinkie yet?

That's how they see themselves, nigger. The guy who said that is Holla Forums

Holla Forums talks about this shit all the time.

No faggot. Your ebin yaoi fanfic is shit and will always be shit

Implying the logic leap of "everyone is BI" is true
Again. Fuck off

If it have a dick. Is gay

no

absolutely and it was complete shit

I know, mate. I've been to Holla Forums.

what do you think about that though?

Okay, so what do you want to talk about then, user?

I didn't mean that I didn't like the comics, I meant that they are not pushing any kind of gay agenda. X-Men 3 was the only one that did this.

and I do like the other movies like days of back to the future tomorrow's yesterday of the year to the past

wut?

I must have missed that.

But loreanon said that during one period the writers were about that.

Mein neger. I liked those as well.

First Class had that scene where Xavier outs Beast as a mutant and goes "You didn't know?" and Beast responds "They didn't ask, I didn't tell." Not to mention Mystique's "Mutant pride!" remarks.

All that shit is just because of Bryan Singer being a fag though.

Huh. I don't remember that at all.

And that is not really anything more than a little joke or reference. Nothing to get your emotions up imo.

The second movie also had Ice Man coming out to his parents and them responding with "Have you tried just… not being a mutant?" It was a stated agenda through the films, because Singer is a homofag of the lowest variety.

X Men 2 came out 2003. I wat 10 years old at the time and completly oblivious that this was a reference to certain american parents having a problem with their gay children.

Also I remember that Angel had quite a bad problem with his parents even cutting his wings and using a file to file them down to nothing.

Little me was never bothered by that, but I imagine rewatching them now would be different.

LOREANON?!
