I don't have nearly enough anger in my life, Holla Forums.

What's a movie I can enjoy until about 3/4 of the way into it and then spend the next 25 mins uncontrollably yelling FUCK YOU at the screen until I lose my voice?

interstellar
probably lion king
probably little mermaid
probably aladdin
probably beauty and the best

i mean this is really the formula for every 90's disney movie, you need be more specific about what makes you pissed off in the final fourth

by the way, you look like a large baby, you should cherish every moment your mother is not dead from being split in half by your fat ass

I'm talking about the kind of film you can get completely emotionally invested in and you think things are going one way, then all of a sudden it ties a noose around your neck and kicks the chair out from under you. I can't remember the last time I lose sleep because of a movie I watched.

I'm not talking about fucking Gaston falling off the castle roof. Although that was a shame.

But by all means, keep recommending children's cartoons if that's what makes you emotionally invested in a story.

So you want a movie with a 'fuck you' twist.

Jacob's Ladder.
Wicker Man (Christopher Lee)
Angel Heart

ok like i said interstellar fits the bill

also sphere, moon, that movie with the bitch from spiderman, timecrimes, safety not garaunteed, you can tell by now i dont like anything except scifi

my point is most movies we think of as "good" use this tactic

I think your best bet is probably twilight zone episodes. Some of those twists can keep you up at night.

upside down. a very good movie but ultimately makes you scream bloody murder in the last 4th

Jacob's Ladder is a great movie, but in more of a 'what the hell is going on' kind of way, which I really enjoyed, but it didn't exactly make me angry. I haven't seen the original Wicker Man or Anger Heart but I'll check them out.

I still somehow haven't seen Intersteller even though it's sitting on my hard drive, but I'll watch it. Sci-Fi is my go-to genre too. Haven't heard of Upside Down before. Looks like it might fit the bill.

Can she be in one movie where she doesn't kiss somebody upside down?

as another scifi fanatic it's pretty good

it rapes you in the end with stupid love stories intended for an audience it doesnt have

Without ruining the ending, are you saying that I'll be angry because of tragic story events or because an otherwise great movie is ruined by a romantic subplot?

Gone Girl

im going to say the romantic subplot which is actually the whole point of the movie,

the final treatment and actual scifi element is just so good that the actual plot gets in the way

in that way the movie is pretty well considered as a corrolarry to aoen flux

I literally know nothing about this movie except Ben Affleck's prosthetic penis. Heard great things about the movie but forgot all about it. Already got myself a copy.

Braveheart
Casino
Goodfellas
Scarface
Wolf of Wall Street

Basically any 3 hour movie where a guy becomes successful then has to come crashing down

Those are all pretty typical story arcs. I'm looking for something more like the pic in my first post, Dear Zachary. I love all the movies you mentioned, but none of them really affected me.

You must be 18 or older to post here, that blue sports shirt isn't fooling anyone, baby.

deer hunter?

I don't get this joke.

What was so bad about the ending anyway?

you should start watching wrestling

"enjoy until about 3/4 of the way into it and then spend the next 25 mins uncontrollably yelling FUCK YOU at the screen until I lose my voice" is pretty much exactly how WWE works these days

You just described Bridge to Terabithia and My Girl.

It really proves that women are very, very protected in our society. They are so protected that most men will readily agree with them that they have no rights and are unsafe.

I wish women were a little more grateful.

Women have always been very protected (compared to men at least) in our society. The difference between the old times and now is that back then, men enjoyed more freedom and authority, and women used to be a little more grateful.

I do the same but I don't enjoy 3/4, I barely enjoy much of it at all.

That movie was hard as fuck to watch. Great movie, but I don't know if I'd ever watch it again.

Now this is an idea I can get behind

Law Abiding Citizen. The "bad guy" is really the good guy getting revenge on the corrupt government.

This. I don't remember clearly as I only saw it one time, but I don't think it's even 3/4 through the movie, I think it's like the last 5 or 10 minutes. The rest of it had it's problems but it was very solid, but fuck that movie destroyed itself at the end.

Speaking of Jamie Foxx, I felt like Collateral had a milder version of that problem. I saw it coming more with Collateral, but I really hoped it wouldn't take the cliche way out after how well the rest of the move had held itself. Both of those movies really made me go from being indifferent to Jamie Foxx to despising him. After those, watching his stupid CGI face ham it up in the trailers for Spiderman only made me laugh at his fall.

Haha bro that's so funny you say that. The FIRST thing I said when I saw this thread was "Law Abiding Citizen". I come back to it to find your post. Great minds think alike, I guess

That movie was bullshit. Fucking ending. They couldn't just have the Black guy's daughter's cello explode at the end or anything?

This is a great one. I watched it a few years ago but I loved it. Could have had a better ending, but it's a really fun role-reversal where you root for the bad guy the whole time.

Thank you! Just got finished watching it. Exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I can't believe I didn't see this when it came out, but that was a great ride. I wonder how many similar movies are out there.
