is there any way to fix this problem? The first time I noticed it was in The Matrix and movies with similar issues keep popping up left and right for me
When you're trying to relax and watch a movie without disturbing everyone else in the house...
It really makes you think.
headphones
subtitles
normal speakers
headphones
not being a neet faggot that lives with his parents
This, really. Subtitles help a lot.
But I have noticed that sometimes on torrents, the music and the dialogue switches, so the dialogue is in the background, and the music is in the foreground, and its impossible to hear. I think its something about the format.
I don't have this problem because I watch my movies on my laptop, with headphones.
What's the story behind that picture, by the way?
Interstellar had such fucking awful audio mixing. The one oscar it received was in the one category it didn't deserve one.
All of his movies are like that. When I saw Dark Knight in the theater I couldn't understand jack shit being said.
This is a problem my roommates and myself have. We try and watch movies but they will go quiet and then in the next scene it sounds like construction levels of loud.
This is only a problem because we are not niggers and don't want to awaken the people who live around us in our shit apartment complex
just watch porn with headphones on jesus christ billy it's not fucking rocket science
This, I wish someone would confirm the problem. I think it has to do with 5.1 audio. It never sounds bad on headphones but you can't hear shit through a television or desktop speakers.
That's because you're using Yify
Thanks Yify!
you have to remix it and adjust the gain or you only get 2 channels. there should be settings for this in your media player, if it's not shit

Bale was hamming it up with the Batman voice.
bump for the op's picture
Inception might be the worst offender of this. Ever.
I had NO idea what the hell Saito was saying, ever, at all, until I watched it with subtitles. In the theater I was confused as fuck because when that mushmouthed chink said lines (which turns out they merely gave him EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF EXPOSITION TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON) you couldn't hear shit over Hans Zimmering away in the soundtrack.
Headphones that aren't garbage are pretty much a necessity.
About half of Bane's dialog in TDKR outside of the plane scene is completely inaudible.
...
This happens because they mix it for theaters and then never bother to remix it for home release. All you have to do is go into the audio settings of your media player and fuck with normalization or dynamic range. You want a narrower dynamic range, loud sounds are brought down, low sounds are brought up.
Whoever does sound editing for Nolan's movies ought to get thrown out of a plane.
