DC have taken a more adult approach than Marvel that is risky and generally has more opportunity to crash them with no survivors. Marvel is the type that would shoot a man before throwing them out of the plane cause they leave nothing to chance while DC take the Big Guy approach.

dc has to take a more adult approach because if they tried the campy way, their movies would be laughed out of the cinema.

see: batman under joel schumacher, superman 3 and 4, and green lantern.

marvel at least has cool colorful characters to just dazzle you with action spectacles and humor.
