it's not exactly dialogue-driven, the whole thing is pretty abstract compared to cronenberg's stuff, I mean it's more or less an extended music video
when you're a little older, boring won't seem like such a big deal. let me ask you this: have you ever seen anything like it before? in terms of style and attitude I think it's pretty unique, seems like that would be worth 70 minutes of your time

If you want to give the director another chance you might enjoy Tokyo Fist. It's my favorite. Tsukamoto got more refined as he went. He's kinda like Cronenberg on meth. Tetsuo is the best known because it was what got him famous, but it's crude compared to what he's done since.

I'm almost 30, user, and I find myself becoming less tolerant of boring shit as I age. The movie shows its cock too early, and you get 100% of the experience in the first 15 minutes. After that it's just the same thing with non-stop disjointed rapid cuts all the way to the end where it turned into some homoerotic supervillian shit.

When I watch a movie, I either want a good story (even if I'm left with more questions than answers at the end), some good scares, or some great action, and honestly this had none of those. It would have made an excellent ~20 minute short film, but it just drags on way the fuck too long.
