I noticed the people I worked with were all assholes, and thought and spoke in weird and opaque ways, and seemed to purposefully not get clear points that midwesterners easily got. No one accommodated anyone in conversation. The change was that before 30 I had never dealt with a Jew, and knew nothing of them other than they were another monotheistic religion. But after 30 I realized I was surrounded by Jews. And it’s not “east coast” vs Midwest people either. Goys on the east coast are a breath of fucking fresh air.
