Lets get Dr. Wolff on the JRE

I'm not a huge fan of Joe Rogan because I think his channel promotes psuedo-intellectualism, but now that Wolff has managed to make it to the Jimmy Dore program, we should try to get him to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience. Many of his listeners are anarcho-capitalists but not devout ones, and those people are actually quite easy to convert to socialism. I know because back when I was a teenager, I used to be "libertarian" as well. Thoughts on this? Think we could pull this off?

That would be kind of hard. Rogan does in studio guests and doesn't do Skype guests from what i can tell. He lives in California and Wolff lives in New York so the possibility of this happening is slim.

Why don't we try to get Destiny (pro-capitalist leftist on youtube, for those who don't know) to debate Richard Wolff. :-)

how bout we get him to debate kapitalism101

Joe Rogan will not have a communist on his show. Stop being so naive about the type of person he is.

I would rather hear Žižek on Joe Rogan. Wolff would be cool too, he should have both on. He has so many right-wing guests, he needs to invite more left wing. The Abby Martin one was good.

He had Abby Martin, she's pretty far left in American terms. I think their pop culture excitement value is more a factor when it comes to getting people on his show, rather than an ideological filter. Which is why I think we should push for Žižek as opposed to Wolff, he's more interesting.

I don't know if Wolff even has the stamina to survive one of Rogan's ridiculously long interviews. Would probably make more sense to try and get Jimmy Dore on his show. They're both comedians, seems like a natural match.

...

I was really surprised when he had her on, but she's also not a Marxist or communist - so there's a big difference there. Joe Rogan and certainly Eddy Bravo are both "cultural Marxist conspiracy" types.

...

I think he meant liberal.

Jimmy Dore isn't that funny, but I also don't want him to be the guy that teaches others what socialism is, considering that he has a very bad understanding of it himself. He still thinks it's "whatever the government does" AFAIK.

...

...

He's had her on a few times and she always comes at him with some extremely fiery anti-imperialism, the comments go fucking crazy, it owns. I think he actually would have a communist on the show, he just has no connections to any and the JRE has become known as gateway reactionary bullshit among lefties. So they aren't likely to seek him out either. Closest I think he had was Russell Brand who's more of a socdem anyway.

Wolff would do a hell of a lot better than Dore I think since Dore tends to get preachy and indignant compared to Wolff's calm and sympathetic demeanor. He could genuinely win some minds over I think.

I can imagine Joe asking Zizek what he thinks about Peterson's idea of postmodern neo-Marxism. I have zero faith Joe would even begin to grasp Zizek's explanation but it would amuse me to see it.

L I B E R A L S

Joe Rogan is the dumbest motherfucker to ever get handed a fucking show

His modus operandi is "SCREAM LOUDLY" and he talks over his guests all the fucking time

HELLO FREAK BITCHES

check dem trips doe

Fuck Joe Rogan.

LSD was a CIA mind control drug.

wrong

...

unironically this

S M O K E D M T T O O

To be clear, I'm saying that psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and DMT are not mind control drugs at all, but rather powerful tools for expanding consciousness. I doubt I'd be a revolutionary socialist if it wasn't for my psychedelic experiences.

...

Go work for Apple you fucking hippies

Hardcore Hippies were/are legit revolutionaries.

Rogans intelligent but he unironically believes "communism is for losers, who don't have what it takes to make it, and if you hate the rich, your just jealous of success ". Blows my mind that this guys done shrooms/DMT and hasn't immediately realized capitalism is fucking horrible.

Why would taking shrooms change your mind about economics?

For one, they just generally open your mind up to new ideas, but more specifically, a sense of oneness and connection with planet/universe is an extremely common experience while on shrooms. It's hard to be a capitalist exploiter when you realize that all is one, that by exploiting your fellow humans you are really exploiting yourself. I myself credit psilocybin mushrooms for showing me the folly of "anarcho"-capitalism. I literally left the Ron Paul sweatshirt I was wearing in the woods that day.

Bump

go back to 60s with this hippie bullshit
Castaneda fags are the worst

No, fascists are, including communists, also known as ☭TANKIE☭s. Seriously, if you haven't experienced psychedelics, you are ignorant of something very profound in a similar way to someone who is illiterate.

Wow, "R3d fascist" word filters to "communist" now? Get fucked, BO.

Yeah, that sure seemed to work, considering Ken Kesey, who they gave LSD as part of MKUltra, become radicalized from the experience, and become a leader of the counterculture, inspiring millions to reject American capitalist society.

it was intended to be used for mind control but it didn't work obviously.

Beatniks are not really an example to follow

Yes, it's pretty much exactly the opposite of a mind control drug, in fact.

I agree, but hippies != beatniks. While it's true that Kesey came out of the beatnik scene, his major works are hippyish. Hardcore hippies like Leary and Kesey were legit revolutionaries, with a much more potent praxis than the Marxists had by that time.

Of fuck.

This guy was also BTFO by Sam Seder a while back.

Have any of you seen the price of his books?
