I always see "post leftist artwork" as slight form of lifestylism. Every confident leftist should be able to enjoy works of art from Michelangelo to Warhol, what should differ is the way he interprets them. I mean, Žižek did a fantastic job taking popular movies and just interpreting them from a socialist perspective, instead of going full "muh Eisenstein" LARP mode.
